Religion, religion, religion that is all we've ever been told about the spirit....
then there is the obsession with dead people... that is not spirit either...
What is spirituality... it is a union with nature... conversations.... trees have things to tell us, the stones the oceans, the sky, fire, the rivers and even the oil from the earth have things, views, oppinions and information they would love to share with us....
Now is the time to share these stories.... we are all just beginiing to start anew with each other...

we are born spiritual, emotional, mental and physical.... that is what we are... We have learned about physical abuse, mental abuse, emotional abuse, religion is spiritual abuse and we've been subjected to it for so long that we don't even notice that we have something missing...

Comprehending the natural world through the eyes of science is a very spiritual experience. Fathoming the secrets of the universe through the lenses of telescopes, spectroscopes and various electromagnetic frequencies is spirituality defined..
By comparison, praying to a magic sky fairy for salvation and eternal life seems somehow less than spiritual, and more like selfish meditation within a bubble of ignorance..

Read some of my previous answers. Maybe I'm just tooting my horn, but I'd like to think they were of a spiritual and non-religious nature. If you look closely you will find a few folks here who are interested in this conversation. You have to realize that there are various groups of people who call this forum home. Some can be quite childish, but there are a few who have something to bring to your table of spiritual discussion.
Spirituality is looking at existence from the point of view of a spirit. That pretty much sums it up for me anyway. I am a spirit. First and foremost. Only after that consideration do I think about mind and body and the physical world.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

I agree. Often there is an incredible lack of spirituality within religion. In fact sometimes, it seems that religion is all about control and dogma, rather than compassion and understanding.
Spirituality.....is being one with everything, nature, the universe, and allowing your mind to be filled with teachings from your Creator. Not a human perspective, but a spiritual perspective.
Religion is man's perspective, spirituality is God/Creator's perspective.

Your name says it all!
Spirituality, in a narrow sense, concerns itself with matters of the spirit. The spiritual, involving (as it may) perceived non-physical eternal abilities regarding humankind's ultimate nature, often contrasts with the earthly, with the material, or with the worldly. A sense of connection forms a central defining characteristic of spirituality — connection to something "greater" than oneself, which includes an emotional experience of religious awe and reverence. Equally importantly, spirituality relates to matters of sanity and of psychological health. Like some forms of religion, spirituality often focuses on personal experience (see mysticism).
Nature is a very small part of what spirituality really truly is!

Wow. Do I have a spiritualist side, too?
I'm already Buddhist, but I'm aware of Pagan influence too. I'm not daft enough to say I am Pagan, as I know nothing about it.
I'm willing to embrace a possible spiritualist side. Then I'd have my lucky number 3.

I am Spirit Transformed by our Living GODMAN JESUS fullly here with us now in Spirit ! (John 16:7-16) (since AD1977)
Thus, in our Sovereign Creator Savior Jesus Christ, we all are becoming One in His Spirit ! even way down here on earth in this first "kindergarten" Heaven.
We pray as Jesus taught/Teaches in Spirit:
"Our Father Who IS here and in Heaven, Sacred are You and Your Living Word of Truth here;
Your Kingdom (Rule) come, on EARTH (too) as it IS in Heaven (even Paradise !) ...
....
Save us in OUR OWN temptations ...
(God never "leads" one into temptation !)
...
To read about spiritual issues here, just seach for "Spirit", "spiritual", "spirituality", etc.
Read all of my very spiritual God-conscious posts too !
Peace and progress,
Brother Dave, a Jesusonian Christian

They might be to busy hugging trees...or maybe their medium has them busy, trying to summon Elvis of Jim Morrison from the grave...you will notice they never try to summon a great religious leader..are they afraid of what they will find out? So, go oil up , light candles, put out your little shells and get your water pipe going.... and wait..they'll be there in a minute..Wouldn't you rather worship the one who made all these things?

I often feel spiritual when I'm hunting. I don't mention it here because it seems like a volatile subject.
