have you ever thought that those were the beliefs they were raised with, and there's most likely a religion that would view you as being immoral?

Okay, let's say for a minute, solely for the sake of argument, that we DID evolve from some lower form of life.

In regard to the Bible, let's say a "day" in God's terms may be a million years in our terms...so he creates the animals....then humans, from some lower life form, only millions of years later...

How does evolution destroy the idea of God? Is it not possible that if we did evolve from lower forms, that GOD initiated and oversaw evolution?

if you are going to say that no matter what skeptics say, it only strengthens your faith, then why are even ticked that we are here?
and another thing, if we werent' here on this section, like someone said earlier, the r/s section would become an ingratiating "feel good party". that might sound like a good thing to a christian, but when that happens all logic can be thrown out the window sometimes. No one edifies thoughts of christian glibness better than skeptics. really.

scientists say existed more than 360 million years ago and went extinct some 80 million years ago, they claimed it was a transitional fossil because it has lobed fins. The ones that have been recently caught are said to have not really changed in all that time from the ones they say lived 360 + million years ago. So, what happened, could you have been any further off base? Proves creation to me.

It is clear to those who study the Bible seriously that Jesus talked about hell more than heaven.

Is Jesus a liar? NO WAY!!

Some people want to know if flames in hell and/or the lake of fire are real. My reply is: WHO CARES? Why go there if it can be avoided????

P.S. In the book of Revelation, the Bible teaches that hell and hades will be BOTH cast into the lake of fire. So, this tells me that hell and hades will NOT be the final place where the unsaved will end up. The lake of fire is the FINAL non-ending punishment waiting for those who refused to accept the great sacrifice of Jesus and what He did for us on the cross.

Think about it; a good used car salesman is able to sell some poor sucker a piece of crap that he thinks is a good car. He is able to hide the oil leaks or a clunking noise in the transmission just like a religion peddler is able to hide something that is even more blatantly false than an oil leak – no proof! He can sell a belief system that can cost a lot of money, time and sometimes even your children and there is absolutely no proof that what he says is true! This beats any sale that the dodgiest of dodgy used car salesmen ever made, wouldn’t you agree?

What are your thoughts on this?

BTW, If anyone cares to share more similarities between Eastern Philosophy/Religion and Judaism, Christianity and Islam please share as I know there are countless examples.

How is it that an atheist can find it hard to believe in God but they believe that we as humans supposedly evolved over a course of millions of years through random mistakes. That's like saying that a tornado comes through a junkyard then all of a sudden you have a mercedes benz. Wow what was I thinking being a christian. Can somebody please explain this to me?

I certainly do.
One old man who lives across the street, i cant touch a hammer without him tracking me down and telling me that im doing something wrong...telling me i need to do it this way or that way. Everytime i go to fix something outside of the house i will be damned if he isnt there telling me how im doing it all wrong. Something as simple as cutting the grass for instance - im doing it wrong and he goes on to tell me how they did it better when he was young. If he sees a crew of roofers or something similar that someone has hired to work on their house he does the same thing to them.
Then another guy at the other end of the street. He just comes out and stands there watching me whenever im doing some sort of work around the outside of my house or yard. Just watching...........as if im a TV show. WTF?

I've heard alot of the same things, through family, church etc.

I met a girl at the Catholic church, went out with huh a while, found out she spent alot of time in the confessional talking about time spent with boys...if you can catch my drift, I couldn't count all her lovers on all my toes and fingers if you can understand- it was disappointing.

Family know the kind of girl I am looking for, and noone they knows meets my criteria- so they don't botha trying to set me up on dates no more.

Where do you meet nice, pretty, girl with good morals these days. Should I go back to the old country, is that the requirement?
