This is something missionaries don't like to tell you.

"Long before you were born a program was developed by your creators ... The principal personalities in this great drama were a Father Elohim, perfect in wisdom, judgment, and person, and two sons, Lucifer and Jehovah." (Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball, p. 32-33).

"The appointment of Jesus to be Savior of the world was contested by one of the other sons of God. He was called Lucifer…this spirit-brother of Jesus desperately tried to become the Savior of mankind" (The Gospel Through the Ages, p.15, 1945).

I am from Utah, grew up LDS. But I have seen so much hypocricy and it has personally, painfully effected me and my family. I know that we constantly say that "the people aren't perfect, the church is..." but why is our culture and society so selfish and unwise? Utah has the highest rate for divorce, and we teach that the family is most important! Is anyone really listening to what we believe? I was just chewed out by a girl from high school saying that I was the most disgusting, evil, wicked person she knows, and that I'm going to hell, and then she brags that she just got married in the temple. I don't deserve such criticism, or such abuse from leaders that we have been taught all our lives to respect, and that they would protect us. I am hurt and lost, and "losing my way." I am struggling for last threads and reason to keep the desire for a marriage in the temple. All the mormon boys I've dated have treated me poorly. Why? We are taught to be so much more than this.

Why do you think christians hate you?
Cause we don't we just don't believe what u believe. Some ppl like that r fun to hang w/ but we will never change to your ways.

Why do u think christianty is all about rules and restrictions?
Cause it's not about rules, it's all about your relationship and walk with God. The scriptures are to help you make right choices, keep you safe and make your walk w/ God stronger.

Why do you think christians are always trying to convert you?
We don't try to force you into something you don't want to follow but the bible tells us to spread the good news that Jesus died for our sins and rose again. We only try to help you because we love every1 and want you to be in heaven w/ us.

Mormon Apostle and apologist Bruce McConkie warns: "I shall speak of our relationship with the Lord and of the true fellowship all saints should have with the Father. I shall set forth what we must believe relative to the Father and the Son in order to gain eternal life...many false and vain and foolish things are being taught in the sectarian world and even among us about our need to gain a special relationship with the Lord Jesus...gaining a special relationship with Christ is both improper and perilous...now I know that some may be offended at the counsel that they should NOT strive for a special and personal relationship with Christ...you have been warned, and you have heard the true doctrine taught" (from a speech given at a B.Y.U. devotional on March 2, 1982).

The Bible teaches that Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, but Mormons teach otherwise. Why?

"Christ was begotten by an Immortal Father in the same way that mortal men are begotten by mortal fathers" (Mormon Doctrine, p. 547, 1979).

Brigham Young taught: "The birth of the Savior was as natural as are the births of our children; it was the result of natural action. He partook of flesh and blood---was begotten of his Father as we were of our fathers" (Journal of Discourses vol.8, p.115); and "when the Virgin Mary conceived the child Jesus, the Father had begotten him in his own likeness [flesh and blood]. He was not begotten by the Holy Ghost" (Journal of Discourses, vol.1, p.50).

Joseph Fielding Smith wrote: "The birth of the Savior was a natural occurrence unattended by any degree of mysticism, and the Father God was the literal parent of Jesus in the flesh as well as in the spirit" (Religious Truths Defined, p.44).
