Because this is the dumbest question ever asked. But I will lend you my ear and voice for the attention you so desperately need. We pray in church because that is where people come seeking prayer. Furthermore, we have church buildings because the Bible commands us to build them. So be not deceived, the people who answer you with the statement that God commands us to go into our closet and pray are people who quote scripture totally out of context. They really should study the word as much as they desire to quote it.

Slave,
Christians do not have 12 GODS. They have ONE. HE has three separate forms. The FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT. Although I am not a preacher, I know that it is prudent for each of us to pray at home and at church. In fact we find in the scriptures that Christians are to gather on the first day of the week to break bread and to give as they have been prospered. We are also told to sing, read, pray, and lift one another up. Have a great week.
Thanks,
Eds (Christian)

Your Higher Power has never stated you need a "church" to pray in !! You can make your peace and acceptance in an open field !! Get thee hence to thine closet so that I may shew thee righteousness for thine own sake !! Ace of Spades ?? DEATH FROM ABOVE !!!

Is there someone running around your neighborhood and making sure that you only pray in a church?
C'mon... what's the real question here?

Deu 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thine heart:
Deu 6:7 and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Deu 6:8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be for frontlets between thine eyes.
Deu 6:9 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thy house, and upon thy gates
Prayer, faith, life, politics, none of these is private. America is a Christian Nation, founded upon the Bible, and if you or others don't like it, get on a boat and sail away.
Look, slaveof12gods, don't tell me or anybody else where to pray or not to pray...there were probably hundreds of thousands of prayers all over New York on 9/11/01, and in New Orleans during AND after Katrina, and at Virginia Tech with a mad gunman on the loose, and right now out west with wildfires burning out of control, and parents for their sons and daughters in Iraq, and a baseball coach recently KILLED by a line drive...Have you ever been on an airplane struck by lightning with an engine on fire and the wingtank full of gas?? If you EVER watch the evening news, there are MYRIAD reasons to pray at all times and all places. Those who would LIMIT prayer are part of the PROBLEM with this country. Do you have a heart? Have you ever seen a BAD traffic accident?? Have you ever been present when a loved one died?? Do you have any HOPE for the future?? Even if YOU don't, don't try to ruin hope for others!!

We don't and in fact are told to pray always giving thanks to His Holy Name.
We come together in church to encourage each other in our daily walks of love and faith with Lord Jesus.

I wonder too. God is everywhere. I think it purely for fellowship. To be with like minded people to help strengthen your belief. I pray at home everyday. However I am a muslim.
