have you ever thought that those were the beliefs they were raised with, and there's most likely a religion that would view you as being immoral?

I totally agree with you. Some religious people think they are perfect and that they are closest to God, that is why they are so judgemental, but the truth is that sometimes they are the ones who create more problems by not being tolerant and accepting of other people and their ideas. Some even create more violence, the truth is that they are never going to get anywhere because they want to change everybody else and they don't realize that if they want to change something they gotta start with themselves.

Yes I have. My judgments of morality are based on whether or not they are justified. For instance while some may take offense to your question. Taking as a personal attack on their ego. I see the personal conviction that underlies the statement. The funny thing about us Christians is that we...cough cough....they tend to ignore the scripture that is to hard to fit into their lives while searching the bible for validation of their preexisting beliefs. The religion isn't bad, the people that judge others on the based on the bible just seem to slip over the part where Jesus tells us pretty much straight up that to do so is foolish.

However if the person is practicing baby eating simply because it's fun than I believe that there is a universal moral code that condemns this as senseless and wrong.

A compound question is one that actually asks several things which might require different answers. In a trial, a compound question will likely raise an objection, as the witness may be unable to provide a clear answer to the inquiry.

In this case you phrased the question so that any answer by a religious person paints them as judgemental.

You combine the question Are you religious with the question Do you judge someone for being immoral so no mateer how they answer they are painted as one who judges.

Why are you judging religious people? Are you intolerant of religion, and believe that religious people should not be able to hold a worldview that opposes your own? Why do you get to keep your worldview, but all of us have to change ours? Sorry, but we have religious freedom in this country, and we practice that right, and if you don't like freedoms, then go live in a muslim country, where anyone who is not muslim is killed on the streets.

Yes but there has to be an absolute truth. Abortion, for example, is the killing of an innocent child. Different religions may say abortion is ok but is it really ok? We must search for the truth in the depths of our hearts where God is present. Yes to judge someone is not right for we all are sinners, but what we can do is judge the sin.

If only everyone can think that way, but most religious people would not go around insulting people. I don't judge.

We don't really have that problem of wondering what values are. The Bible is very clear on what is moral and what is not. We do not need to judge because God has already passed judgment on moral values for us in His Word.

This is why religion is an immensely personal thing, and there is a great need for respect when it comes to others and their preferences.

That or you shouldn't judge other people at all. You don't know a man till you've walked a mile in his shoes.
