Freemasons and Witchcraft?

My comment is that they are NOT related. I posted this in the original question. I have several family members who are Masons, and they are NOT related to witchcraft.

I'm afraid I have to respond to macmommagnum's comment... witches do NOT have male counterparts called warlocks; all practitioners of witchcraft, regardless of sex, are referred to as witches. In most Neo-Pagan practice, the term "warlock" means "oath-breaker" and is a term of great insult.

And I agree that Freemasons and witchcraft have nothing to do with each other, although some of the ritual practices in the Wiccan faith (where witchcraft is often practiced) are heavily indebted to Masonic ceremonial forms.

PLEASE!!!! Does everything that is not easily explained HAVE to be considered EVIL??? There is NO relation between the two beliefs - for starters, Masons do not have a FEMALE counter-part like witches have warlocks - but HEY, go do some research - the differences are so vast there isn't enough space here AND I feel almost insulted by the question - almost ALL my elder relatives are Masons.

If you have to ask that question you are likely not intelligent enough to understand the answer.

They are not related in any way. Freemasonry is a fraternaly/social organization, witchcraft is a religious organization. Separate history, life, practice, belief, etc...
