In New Zealand where I live, there are many University Scholarships for Maori and Pacific Island people. Very few for others.
I am planning on going to University next year, I woke my backside off to get the best marks I can. One of my good friends (who is Maori) just scrapes along doing the bare minimum.
But next year she will most likely receive a $8,000 scholarship. I will receive nothing.
I'm not racist but I don't believe this is fair at all. Just because she comes from a certain ethnic group (which she doesn't even know much about) she will receive a large some of money.
I believe that everyone should be treated equally, whether or not they are Maori/ Pacific Island or whatever.
What do you think?

Throughout the Bible the Lord has promised His saints untold knowledge and power. and yet I see too many Christians who refuse to seek anything outside the Bible. Heck, most settle for a cursory understanding of the Bible.
We have been told to ask for wisdom and anything we desire. So why are people so relunctant to accept more of what the Lord has for them?

My first inclination is to thank them... but I just work here and feel odd taking a compliment for the style and architecture, so usually I just agree with them... but then I feel like I am sounding arrogant, when really I just mean to agree. Is there a better response? Or is thank you the way to go... Thoughts?

Why did God get so angry about Adam eating a fruit? It seems like it would require a scolding perhaps. But no God had to stick this sin onto Adam and his children and all of his descendent's when they didn't even have anything to do with it. Why was he so upset and hateful.
And in case anyone says it is not literal and instead a fictional story then I have another question. If the story of the original sin isn't literal than what did Jesus die for?
Help would be appreciated.

Okay I've never really been the church type of girl, my family never really went, but about a year ago my mom and family started going and I never really went with them. Then one sunday I decided to go and when I left I just felt safe and proud for some reason. and this week my little 5 year old brother has vacation bible school and I really wanted to go and help out. So today I went and volenteered to stay and help with all the activity's the little kids are doing. and it's for the rest of the weel and I'm going to keep going and helping out because it really makes you feel good inside. But I've kinda always been iffy about the whole god theory. I want to believe so bad but I'm a very logical person and it doens't really make sense. Like how come some people say oh yeah god was with me thats why I lived or whatever but half the time people get murdered and die and stuff but why doesn't god help them too? I just wanted to know if it was weird that I felt this way and could someone.....
