can anybody just give a little blurp about what the story was?

God told Jonah to do something (take the message of God to a group of people that Jonah didn't like - he felt they were "too bad" to be given God's message)
God gave Jonah a scare (big storm at sea, sailors threw him overboard, big fish - NOT WHALE - swallowed him for three days) Jonah spent the time in prayer, and repented - agreed that if he had another chance, he'd do what God said. Fish spit him out on the shore.
Jonah took the message of God to the people that God had sent him to - they repented and changed their ways upon hearing of God's love.

God called j to go to a wicked place called Nineveh but he was scarred, so he jumped on a boat trying to run from God. G said no way jose and rocked the boat with a big storm. jonah knew that G was after him so he told the sailors to throw him overboard where he was swallowed by a big fish and vomited onto the beach after three days. he went to nineveh and the people accepted his message and changed their ways then he got mad b/c G forgave them.
