As with Shorty McGee, I'm Mormon, so this really wasn't directed at me, although it probably should have been opened to both wiccans and mormons.
I am Mormon, married to an agnostic, with friends who are Catholic, Buddhist, Sikh, nothing. I also have friends who have different lifestyles, including those who are gay. The Mormon faith strongly teaches (and has tried to emphasize it more over the last few years) that we need to be tolerant and accepting of all people who are different and believe differently than we do. That being said, there are certain behaviors or activities they won't participate it. But that shouldn't be a problem. My wife brews a pot of coffee every morning as do my friends at work...and that's their right.
Lastly, everyone is different, and people often do migrate to those that have similar beliefs, but that doesn't mean they can't have friends with different beliefs. Some Mormons, as well as those in any faith or group, often let the human take over and they seclude themselves and don't like to associate with many outside their circle, but this is likely not a teaching of thier faith, as it isn't in Mormonism. Just be friends, be open about who you are. As long as you are willing to respect this person for who they are I'm sure they'll respect you in return. Enjoy life.

Reading some of these answers...I still don't see why people have to generalize so much by saying things like "Mormons are psychotic and not tolerant", yadda yadda yadda. I am Mormon and I really try to be friends with everyone. I respect everyone's beliefs and I enjoy learning about other people's beliefs. Don't make or break a friendship solely because of that person's beliefs.. or because of what a few Anti-Mormon people on Yahoo Answers say. Get to know the person yourself...if you like him/her, it shouldn't matter what their belief system is.
Sorry if you weren't looking for a LDS to answer. Have a good one!

I am a Pagan Priest since 1988, though I prefer the term Heathen, since I subscribe to the Norse tradition. I actually had some friends who were Mormons. It took years, but our differences finally became an issue, since their job -- as Mormons -- is to "correct" and "deliver" others from sin and because our tradition is not concerned with another's interpretation of and relationship with the Divine. While once we agreed to disagree, it is now that we have gone our own ways, years ago.

I don't know what Mormons some of the others have meet but the majority are tolerant and accepting of others beliefs. I have had many friends of different religions and i have never tired to convert them. I wouldn't worry too much if they are a good friend they will accept you no matter what.

I read the other answers and hope you don't mind me answering. I am L.D.S. and have a friend in Wicca and a friend that is Asatru (I don't know if I spelled that right). I do things with them and think that they are very nice people. I know other people that follow other forms of Paganism. I don't shun them or try to convert them.
I would tell your friend and if your friend doesn't like it, then they weren't a very good friend and you should move on.

Well i dont think it should come up unless she brings her own faith up.
Then just politley tell her "Well, you know i am a pagan, and our beliefs may differ but i do believe that all paths lead to deity, so you wont find me ridiculing your beliefs" And i am sure we can look past that and remain friends dont you?"
Good luck!

mormons believe in gods and goddeses because they belive they will evolve themselves into gods ir goddesess, so you could kind of consider that pagan, this promotes a sence of feeling like you have your on godly powers. mormonism, led me into wicca.
oh yea I once brought a wicca to church who wore an earring from star trek of all things, she was gay to, wow, what a day that was. The mormons were nice to her, I just don't think they knew she was gay.

io think you should be honest but youll have to understand that your relationship could be damaged after letting them know as we are warned against anything that goes against G-D and that would esp sadly mean anything to do with your faith. im sure you are a great person but your honesty is a good thing.

Some Mormons are psychotic towards other religions. I'd feel the person out first. "So....did you hear about the Pagan chaplains debate? What's up with that?"
