I made a promise to God and I broke it.I didnt mean to,it just kind of happened.I know God is very forgiving but I feel guilty and I feel like I need to prove something so God knows I am truley sorry.I just moved,so I'm not involved in a church.I hardly went to church much anyways.I am not very religious but I am spiritual.Anyone have any ideas?Or should I just say a prayer..

I am writing a letter to a catholic bishop and I want to use "sir" to kind of focus the letter. like when someone mentions the other person's name in what they are saying. i.e.: "I know it's hard, Sarah, but you need to study for your test." or "Sarah, listen to me." I don't want to say "Most Rev." because that is too much. Is it proper to call a catholic bishop "sir"?

First, my wife. She's mean and treats me like an unwelcome dog. She constantly insults me and tells me I'm stupid.

Second, Jesus. I have served and tried to have faith. I read in the Bible, just ask and it will be given. Well, looks more like it's being taken away to me. I'm thinking I'd rather burn in Hell than live in it.

Love to hear opinions from all faiths/beliefs.

Majority of the convert christians in India show least respect to the sentiments and God-concepts of other major religions in the country. They make even sarcastic comments on the believers of other religions and their Idols. Does this conversion for them is evangelisation? Do they feel so jigoistic about their religion that except Christianity no other religion should thrive on this planet earth? If they believe in 'Love thy neighbour' dictum, the neighbour need not be a christian. He can be a Hindu, Moslem, Buddhist, Sikh etc. Where is 'tolerence', 'magnanimity' and 'Peace' in their approach? Freedom in this country has lead to too much of indulgence.
In this context permit me to give the concepts for peaceful co-existance globally as asserted by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba;
There is only one religion the religion of Love. There is only one caste the caste of Humanity. There is only one language the language of the Heart. There is only one God, He is omnipotent.

what is the point in all theistic descriptions of heaven being this ideal place where there is no pain or sorrow, where everything is perfect? is there any need to describe heaven at all other than to say that it's where god is? would it take away from your want to do the right thing if you had no description of what heaven is like? better yet, let's say it's a place of infinite torture, but you're still with god for all eternity and let's say hell is a place of neverending joy. would you still do the right thing to be by god's side?

This is in response to the guy or gal who said the movie theatre crank up the volume of a show to cover the noise of the audience. Seems to me people can visit with friends at home. This is no excuse of the theatre people to "crank up the volume" . enough said.

In Rebel Without a Cause, The Breakfast Club, Donnie Darko and Dazed and Confused do these representations and values below accurately reflect our society?
Please help!!
The representations of average white, American, high school students as rebellious, careless, rude, self absorbed, disrespectful and roguish etc.
The value of hedonism, especially in Dazed and Confused.
Does that representation and that value accurately reflect our society? Why? How?
I need to do this on two of these films, one being Rebel Without a Cause and the other any.

I'm Not lookin' for a 'hookup' I would just like to have meaningful conversations with people who KNOW God personally, not just 'about' Him. I can't seem to find any one who speaks my 'language'. Already tried church. Way beyond those religious activities! God is speakin' to His creation, All the time. Is anyone out there listenin'? If you're hearin' His voice and want to share what He's revealed to you, I'd be eternally greatful. Sincere Thanks, for your genuine responses, Rose

"Also, the message of Islam never limited peace and harmony to those who accepted the faith. On the contrary, by establishing the principle of *{no compulsion in religion}* that was stated clearly in the Qur’an, Islam made peace a right for every one, whether affiliated with the religion or not."

1) Your car!!! Everything from the horn to the engine runs on science and physics!!

2) Your medication!--You claim science knows little about DNA and cells, yet you use this stuff every day. If you believe so openly that we have no clue, stop taking medication

3) Healthcare--Science is used in everything. And for science thats so fiction.. why use it? Besides, if you are to die, its gods will, right?

4)Your computer!! How do you suppose what you typer on a wireless keyboard is somehow submitted around the world in a matter of seconds? SCIENCE

5) Your coffin!! This may not be direct, but heck.. scientists know that when you die, your body is eaten by millions of decomposers!

6) The Bible and Scriptures!!-Most were dated using common scientific methods..... without them your book could be 15 years old, who knows?

7)LIGHTS!! Light has more of a use then to see your pathetic faces!! For people who dont believe in the speed of light, you sure use it a lot!

If so, who/what/where were you, and how did you recall it? Spontaneously, under hypnosis, or some other way, eg., in a dream . . .

My son, at age three, told me he was a fighter pilot in the war- gave his name, (Not his current name), the year he died, and many more details. I am still floored by the fact that he said he died of a puncture would to his back. It just so happens, he has a birthmark there . . . weird!!

I'm curious if anyone else recalls a past life and would like to share their story.

Everything has its own unique qualities that you personally find in them, so what do you think about the German language? Do you think it's full of earthy goodness? Is it light and frothy like warm milk, or is it harsh and loud, like a crumbling mountain?
Tell me, how would you describe the German language?
