seen this yet? It's a great challenge to the idea that God answers prayer:

the video is 8 minutes long. please watch the whole thing, and make sure you understand the argument before responding.

unlike this guy, who just doesn't get it:

(I hope intelligent athiests and believers alike can both have a good laugh at this lame attempt to form a logical argument. watch him squirm - you can almost see the man thinking. almost.)

come on Christians! this question has been up for over an hour - is 'rolling stone's non-answer the best you lot can do? (rolling stone forgot to "understand the argument before responding")
I know there are some really rational, intelligent Jesus-believers out there who really believe that God answers prayers. better speak up! or the milk jug wins by default....

God is: too kind to do anything cruel, too wise to make a mistake, too deep to explain Himself. A few questions-- If you find yourself in a financial jam, it's not payday yet, you ask your employer to please pay you today. What will the employer say? Yes, and pay you today. No, and tell you they can't do that. Wait, he will check with the financial department and maybe they can pay you a little early or, just wait till payday. Your own employer can answer you that way, but God can't?? Gee. So a jug of milk or nothing (evolution) created the world? Sure.? A "jug of milk" (or nothing/no one) died for our (yours included) sins to redeem us making forgiveness and Heaven possible?? The Bible, ancient history, other religions, all record Jesus. The Bible/Christianity record what Jesus did. Ever talk to someone that had a near death experience? Did some of them "see" something? Our own law tells us not to speed when driving. The person that speeds may or may not get caught. Or, they may get caught speeding at a later date =wait. Why can't prayer be like that too? What answer is God supposed to give? Is God to say yes to every prayer and never ever give an answer we don't like or understand? If all Gods answers were yes, we'd all be millionaires and not have a worry in the world. Sorry Charley, but life just ain't like that. Shall we accept only good from God and never adversity?

Yea but the jug of milk doesn't promise you eternal life! The jug of milk could be the illusion.
God Bless
