I have just watched a very interesting clip on Youtube, which shows and explains images from the Hubble Space Telescope. It clearly shows many hundreds of thousands of galaxies, each with 100's of 1000's of stars and planets in them.

Logic and probability tells the sane of mind that at least a handful of these galaxies far far away have planets with life on them.

Does our God also cover these planets? Or do they have their own God?

This question comes from someone who was born and raised Protestant but always questioned the teaching of salvation through faith alone. This has never really made much sense to me because what does it really prove about a man if he does believe that Jesus is divine? Many Christians accept this teaching through faith alone and don't really bother to think about it much for the rest of their lives. Somehow, they are saved due to what may be their own intelectual laziness and now I may be damned because I am now questioning this.
My question for the religious is how can I find out who Jesus really is when you can find scholars who give copious evidence to prove that He is both Divine and the opposite. I don't believe in "following my heart" because I am an emotional being and I can easily be misled by my heart. I can pray and I do, but how do I really know when I know???

the verse is Ephisians 6:11-17
11Put on the full armour of God so as to be able to resist the devil's tactics.

12For it is not against human enemies that we have to struggle, but against the principalities and the ruling forces who are masters of the darkness in this world, the spirits of evil in the heavens.

13That is why you must take up all God's armour, or you will not be able to put up any resistance on the evil day, or stand your ground even though you exert yourselves to the full.

14So stand your ground, with truth a belt round your waist, and uprightness a breastplate,

15wearing for shoes on your feet the eagerness to spread the gospel of peace

16and always carrying the shield of faith so that you can use it to quench the burning arrows of the Evil One.

17And then you must take salvation as your helmet and the sword of the Spirit, that is, the word of God.

"May the bones of the hands and the bones of the fingers decay and decompose, of him who turns the pages of the book of Daniel, to find out the time of Daniel 9:24-27, and may his memory rot from off the face of the earth forever (Talmudic Law, p. 978, Section 2, Line 28)."

I'm quoting from a webpage I found:
"One of the most popular false gods of the world is Santa Claus. Children around the world worship Santa Claus. Do you know what the word "worship" means? It simply means: "The reverent love and devotion accorded a deity, an idol, or a sacred object." Hence, many parents are indeed teaching their children to worship Santa. Children's minds are consumed with this fictitious fat slob dressed in red. Children should not be led to believe in a fictitious character who can read people's minds, is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. To deliver presents to every child in one night is something ONLY an omnipotent God could do. Don't you see what the Devil is doing to little children? As the child grows older and realizes that there is NO Santa, he is already CONDITIONED to become an atheist as well. "

I'm one of those people who think the reformation was caused by the printing press, not by Martin Luther. Before him there were many other dissenters also, but they were generally quenched very easily. When Luther went to the Diet of Worms many people along the way had already read his work, and people cheered and booed him all along the way. He was the one of the first stars of the printing press age. And at the same time his ideas spread many other ideas spread as well, like never before. If every pamphlet the reformers wrote would have had to be copied by hand, they would never have been able to spread faster than they were persecuted.

So now everyone with an opinion can just create a youtube channel and speak to a worldwide audience directly. And if you say something that really speaks to people that message will not go around the world in years or months, but in days or hours. Can we expect a second reformation? Will opinions divide even more? Or will we be able to see the

Am I the only one who is really annoyed by people who ask questions as if they might really want to hear opinions, but actually just want someone to agree with them so they can cheerlead that answer and put down anyone else who didn't agree?

I think it might even be more annoying than seeing "two points" all of the time.

Feedback please!

Is the potential in the seed?

If you plant honesty, you will reap trust

If you plant goodness, you will reap friends.

If you plant humility, you will reap greatness.

If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment

If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective.

If you plant hard work, you will reap success.

If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation.

If you plant faith in Christ, you will reap a harvest.

So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.

Tell me what are you sowing?

(Ge•hen'na) [Gr. form of the Heb. Geh Hin•nom', “Valley of Hinnom”].
This name appears 12 times in the Christian Greek Scriptures, and whereas many translators take the liberty to render it by the word “hell,” a number of modern translations transliterate the word from the Greek ge'en•na.—Mt 5:22, Ro, Mo, ED, NW, BC (Spanish), NC (Spanish), also the footnotes of Da and RS.

I am a big fan of Sven hassel but I have found in some of his books things that are(were) not quite real.
For example in the book "The bloody road to death" ( I think), he said that , when on a mission to capture an ex-german( now soviet) comisar his group encountered 4 tanks, or so he says.2 of them were BA-64 and one a Humber MK 2.
He said they are tanks when in fact all these 3 were by no means tanks, but armored cars.
Also he said in some of his books that the Sd.Kfz. 234/2 "Puma" was a tank when, in fact was one of the most powerful armored cars in WW2.
He says his regiment was a penal regiment, yet there was a 27th regiment in the German Army, but it was not penal.
He also says they were equiped with Tigers, when these heavy tanks were scarce and were organized in special batalions, directly under Corps command and is impossible to think that they were given to any penal formation.
Now I have read all his books, and I know many of his books are more fiction that reallity.
