It starts with Matthew. If you are talking about the order the books were written in, Mark was the first of the gospels (as another person already suggested) but many other books came before - most, if not all, of Paul's genuine letters, for example.

But technically, I believe Mark is older.....as Matthew & Luke pulled a bit from Mark.
