I spend the vast majority of my life NOT thinking about sexual practices that I find disgusting. Why is it so hard for certain religious people to do the same.

If two consenting adults get involved in sexual practices that you aren't down with, why not just ignore it? Where is the harm in minding your own business?

What about the claim that the gays will "make" other people gay? Where's that come from? Are some people fighting against urges that they don't want to admit to? Are they projecting when they say, "So and so is trying to corrupt other people"

I'm not Catholic Bashing or anything but in all seriousness I've seen more people protest Gay Marriage and Abortion rather then against the Sexual Abuse committed by the priesthood in my many years...

I don't think it'd be as much of a problem as it is today if people shed some more light on it and if the Catholic Church showed a lil more humility rather then save face and try to avoid the issue altogether...

I believe the only way to heaven is to be a Christian, yet I am sadden by the thought that two thirds of the world's population is not Christian. Hell is a horrible place and I do not wish it upon anyone. Why are these people so blind as to not accept Jesus as their savior? I know for a fact they can feel him in their hearts, yet they refuse to believe? Why are they so full of pride?

I want everyone to go to heaven. I do not wish anything bad to happen to anyone but the fact remains that it will if they do not change their ways.

Why won't they listen to reason?

Ok, hear me out...Even if you don't believe in God or Jesus, you have to agree that at the very least the New Testament is a moral guide to how a "good" person is supposed to live their lives. With that said, if everyone were to follow the teachings in the New Testament (even if they didn't believe the story is true, but accepted the philosophy as correct) wouldn't the world be a better place for everyone? Why are we arguing about whether it's truth when it's pretty apparent that there is a good moral sense behind the teachings. Shouldn't the question of whether the stories are fiction or non fiction be irrelevant? What's your opinion?

What is the first thing everyone did when they left a high control group such as the JW's or any other religious group that put rules and restrictions on it's members? If you are thinking of leaving religion what do you dream of doing? ie: Getting drunk as a skunk. Doing it with a random person in public or maybe your on a mission to save everyone from the clutches of religious groups? Maybe it is just as simple as sleeping in on a Sunday morning? What did you enjoy the most?

Personally I enjoyed listening to what ever music I want without having to worry about the lyrics!

I work for a firm of Attorneys, I can do what I what, come when I want I leave when I want. There is no boundaries and I feel lost, I cannot take it any longer. Did you know that a child needs boundaries and even sometimes wants a hiding, if no boundries such a child will challege you (the parent, the teacher and all figures in authority). All people wants to be acknowledged and notices, if not they will slack down in the work, for the BOSS do not notice them. Please help, I am going of my head for this is too much. I don't even feel like doing my work any longer, for I don't get notices. The bosses does not praise you, they don't repremand you, It is almost as if you are invisable, althoug you know that you are good in your work. I have lost interest!
Please help me guys as I am crying as I write this desparate question

One of our regulars SusanJ is very upset over this site and I can understand why, for the last 2 days there have been very nasty questions about the Catholic Church and Susan is a very devout Catholic who has recently gone through cancer, 2 strokes and a tumor on the brain, which was only 3 weeks ago.

Susan emailed me and asked for forgiveness in getting upset and let her friends know that she is going to give it a rest for a while as she is going through chemo and everything upsets her lately.

Basically where is the love here, is it your place to judge someones Religion or faith here?

When did you figure out that not everyone sees the world as you do?

I just find it staggering how there are so many people who obviously do not appricate that others sometimes see the world quite differently.

I am referring to these posts that are essentially "since I can't do ___ then nobody can, why not?" and "by my definition of such and so, theres no solution to this problem, and since I do not know about it, its completely unsolvable" type questions.

a dozen people observe an event, they will each see it a little differently some might see it *signifigantly* differently. few people would disagree that this difference in perspective occurs. ... but so many seem to not realize how much different the worldviews in general can be, especially on things such as religion and spirituality.

Oh, religion ok...... I recently saw at a local county fair a guy dressed up in a costume trying to tell everyone about Noah's Ark.

But the ark was filled with stuff dolls and such, Do you think it's a little underhanded to try to convince kids to join religion?

Kinda like tempting a kid with candy to ride with you in a black car sort of way?

Or is it perfectly acceptable?
