i'm asking this coz alot of people judge me because i listen to my chemical romance. and they automatically asume that i'm not a christian. and that i'm a punk or a bad person.!

I know "octopi" is normally used, but I have a vague and frustrating memory of an English teacher demonstrating why "octopuses" is actually more correct. I think the same rule is true of "platypuses", but I can't remember why! Sources, please.
