Nah, if that was the case he would have left a 24 inch pipe wrench under the sink.

No. This is why Jesus has not yet returned: 2 Peter 3:9-10 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. (10) But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

i like the answer 'only god knows when Jesus will come back' you'd have thought that god being Jesus also would have let Jesus (himself) in on when he was coming back

anwho yes tradesmen are irritatingly good at turning up when the feel like it, like not at all on a Friday and then 8:00 on a Sunday with chainsaws about 6 feet above your head wonderful

I like that!
I can give you three good answers:

1. I don't believe Jesus was union.

2. It always takes longer for them to come back and finish the job than it takes to get started.

3. "the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know" - in short, God only knows (literally)

The second coming, end of days, and all other superstitious events have been and gone many, many, many times over the past 2000 years. Religion NEVER acknowledges its silly mistakes, and so they can never admit to getting it wrong. It is self delusion, an integral component of belief.

The second coming hasn't happened because Jesus is either dead or never existed at all. Either way, he's not gonna be visiting.
