Is war a justification to kill? I'm worried that it isn't. Thou shalt not kill is definite. It doesn't say, "Except if or when ......". So if you believe in Heaven n Hell do you think God will make an exception? God is supposed to love us ALL, not only those who believe in certain things or not. This suggests that we are killing His children as they also are by killing ours. I ask all who believe as I do and worry about the men n women as I do to pray for them as I do. What r ur thoughts? I'm really curious.

was the first church to talk about this "event" now I am curious, do all Christian doctorines talk about the Rapture?

and I have been watching Jack Van impe, and I am so confused.

he uses the different stories in the bible, takes passages, and prooves the Rapture, end times with these passages, yet when I read the bible I do not see what he is talking about, the stories I read, don't come out with it. So where does the Rapture Concept come from?

Doesn't that mean that those who say it is impossible to keep the 10 Commandments, are lying? If what Paul said is true, or are they calling Paul a lier.

I'm curious to know if the Christians who are so adamant that the Pledge of Allegiance contain a reference to God would mind if "Allah" were substitiuted for "God". After all, Allah is simply another name for God, so there should be no problem, right?

Of course, if Christians object to this, perhaps someone could explain the nature of their objection? Surely it couldn't be that Christians are against freedom of religion--like they claim so many others, such as Atheists(I'm one) are--right?

Anyone and everyone is invited to answer this question.

This is odd. I have never known any atheists except in college. There were two of them who also happen to be homosexual (my gay friend's friends). Other than that, I don't know of any atheists except the ones on Yahoo Answers. I have conversed with my co-workers, etc enough to know they had faith in some religion. Why do they hate Christians so much and why can't they just not say the Pledge of Alligence? Why do they want to force their atheism on us???

...that when someone mentions a god, they're talking about the god of the Christian bible?

There are many other gods out there, you know. Any one of them could be real, or none at all.

Thank you. By the way, I encourage thumbs down to all those who do not answer these questions via the guidelines given.

How do Mormons explain none of Joseph Smith's prophesies coming true? Could it be that he is a false prophet?

The last 2 questions, prior to this one, I have asked has very damning evidence against the "One True Prophet". I wonder why I'm not getting any answers from Mormons.

Atheists, what do you find so despicible about the teachings of Christianity that makes you so deragatory towards Christians? Christianity is rooted in love and respect for ourselves and each other. What is the harm in that? The display of the ten commandments is challenged almost daily. But why? Would you rather I lie, cheat, steal, murder, dishonor my parents, and envy you?

"This one, true God, of his own goodness and Almighty Power, nor for increasing his own beatitude, nor for attaining his perfection, but in order to manifest this perfection through the benefits which he bestows on creatures, with absolute freedom of counsel "and from the beginning of time, made out of nothing both orders of creatures, the spiritual and the corporeal..." (Lateran Council IV)
Scripture bears witness to faith in creation "Out of nothing" as a truth full of promise and hope. The the mother of seven sons encourages them for martyrdom:
"I do not know how you came into being in my womb. It was not I who gave you life and breath, nor I who set in order the elements within each of you. Therefore the Creator of the world, who shaped the beginning of man and devised the origin of all things, will in his mercy give life and breath to you again....Look at the Heavens and the earth and see everything that is in them, and recognize that God did not make them out of things

I'm 'caucasian' and my g/f is black; it sounds so dumb to even mention it cause we get along great, like brother & sister. People don't give us any problems in public but they sometimes do some dumb things. Example: we'll both be on line in the supermarket together and our food will be on the conveyor belt, and we have one cart. We'll be talking to one another while we're waiting in line. The cashier will start ringing stuff up, then look at us and say, "Are you two together?" I guess because she doesn't want to mix up the orders. I mean, 'duh'! Would that happen if we were both the same 'color'?

I believe that God saw me, a sinner, from before the foundations of the world, and absolutely knew that I would have no power of my own to choose him because of my sin nature that would send me straight to hell anyway, save for his loving grace. Therefore, when the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to the truth of Jesus Christ, there was no need for any authorization to do so, I was just on my knees in thanks and adoration. I don't dare tell the Lord what he can and can't do. God the Father has decreed my obedience, not on the condition that I accept, but through his foreknowledge and predestination of my soul. Thanks be to God, but will I go to hell for tossing acceptance out the window and instead giving God the prerogative of the "rescue" that is my salvation?
