I guess one is suppose to practice what they preach but I find it " feel good" sense in giving someone else a uplift to life. But, when it comes to myself, I don't always do as I say. Why is that? But, then again one said "do as I say, not as I do?"

What is the right perspective?

...believers will be changed (Gr. allasso - to change, to exchange one thing for another, to transform) "In a moment, in the TWINKLING OF AN EYE, at the last trumpet" (verse 52, caps for emphasis) at the resurrection of the dead.

That being the case, what is the purpose of sanctification in the life of a Christian, as it appears that it is only temporary because the Lord will transform us all in the end, anyhow ?

Please support your answers with appropriate Scripture references.

Thanks in advance for all answers. May the Lord bless you.

Do you believe that God could take away a talent, such as your voice, or gift of singing, because it could have lead to an immoral lifestyle or a path/road that one may not have been able to resist the temptation, and God knew this?

Anyone that has had any dealings with the JW's knows that they constantly tell their members to stay away from higher education! Why do they think it is bad? Is it because it teaches them to think for themselves?

On the other hand they are always looking at gaining free professional qualified labor at their church factories (Bethel where they make all their books) They constantly say they need Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants and Electrical Engineers? Where are they supposed to get these people if they don't want their members to go to university? Sounds like a contradiction to me?

Last night I was in Walmart buying some laundry soap and other house hold items. Any who, I was telling my friend how big this particular Walmart is because it's like some sort of super center? She's like "yeah. I work at a super center like that. Oh, and people not only come here to purchase food, clothes and household items. They come here to hook up as well." ( o _ 0 ) Ewwwww! I told her that I was going to come out with a country song entitled "Hookin' up at Walmart. The Super Center" ( ^ _ ^ )

I think what has happened is we have created a whole host of sub-categories to place people in so we can say that people are: Racist, sexist, homophobic, agesist, extremist. Now it appears that anyone that conveys an opinion that isn't approved as the majorirty approved politically correct one is instnantly categorised into one of these categories and ridiculed.

The purpose of PC was to increase personal freedom and liberty. It appears to me that people are scared to think or express anyhting that challenges general consensus... to me that is not liberty at all and is potentially dangerous. Turning people into robots that follow orders without thought of question.
