A saint will be a saint only if he controls his emotions. Otherwise he is not a saint.

A BIG "NO" -
In spite of taking sainthood some Saints still have lot of emotions. they are mainly -
1. Sex
2. Money
3. Relatives.
For this reason only many saint(s) are castrated by his higher authorities as sex is considered to ruin them. I was told this practice is prevalent in Roman Catholics, Hindus and Buddhist. I do not know how far it is true.-

Of course not, Saints have emotions, even GOD has emotions. We have emotions because we are images of GOD. That being said Saints are made in the HOLY SPIRIT, of our own we are typically ill equipped to be Saints. Furthermore, Saints have virtue understanding that their emotions can mislead them. For instance, suffering is typically something that one chooses to avoid, but it is not always a bad thing, in that it can help a person overcome. For most people who are not aware of the mystery of suffering, they seek to avoid suffering at all costs. But Saints have actively sought suffering in order to overcome temptation, through fasting, isolation, and mortification of the flesh . .. as a for instance . ..
-LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

No they are below them! They are like the sea bottom with the waves of emotions floating by. When the waves are really big and white-capped, they simply dive beneath them where it is calm, still and steady.
Because they're systems are purified and so sensitive, they actually feel them more strongly than we do - they feel more love for us and feel our pain more acutely than we do. But they do not loose their footing below; they remain grounded in the true reality.

They are not above emotions but they have no attachments with anyone. They feel emotions when they see some needy person. They are just attachment free. They do not attach theirself with karmas.
