This two-faced "religion" has been the apparent source of wirchcraft, so they can feel big and powerful around the gullible. But when pressed, they revert to the image of friendly, vacuous, innocuous, pagan/agrarian hippie-like people. But do they realize now, that there is no record of this "religion" before 1920? Do they know it was initially popularized by one guy in 1954. It was fake. It was not based on any ancient philosophy or religion.

But then, don't feel bad. In that respect it is no different from Scientology. In fact, that might even be true of Christianity. So what do you do and how do you feel when you discover this fact?

Check Wiki for Wicca.

i have seen many of you do it, so don't deny it. why on earth if your not going to help the person, bother waste time posting?
we are all guilty of it at one time or another, but i'm talking to the one's who do it repeatedly and you know who you are.

i see the point system and to have a top contributer tag mean's what? that you post in any question for that status?

are ppl's selfesteem so low these days that they need the internet to justify there existence?

i think y/a should do away with status titles and i am sure we will see a drop in responses from most ppl, or yahoo should have an option button where if the person responds but fail's to help "see ex below", the answer should have the points removed along with the answer.

i seen this answer today from a top contributer:
sorry i can't help you.

now i voted the answer thumbs down. why wouldn't y/a make a option, to report that post where i can say, didn't answer the persons q, so y/a can delete and remove points

Purely from a lingustic standpoint, is English easy to learn? If not, which language would make a better choice, regardless of politics or economics?

Thanks

Different beliefs fascinate me and I was wondering if any of you were away of any strange cults or belief systems that people actually believe in.

When Jesus said to "believe" on Him, He was saying we should have faith in Him, in the same way you would trust a parachute to save you when you jump from a plane. You don't merely believe in the parachute - you put it on. Please don't "jump" without Jesus. If you die in your sins there is no second chance. God will give you justice, and you will end up in Hell forever. Any troubles you have at present are dwarfed by the trouble you are in with your Creator. His wrath abides upon you (John 3:36). God doesn't want you to go to Hell. Neither do you want to go there, so confess your sins to God right now, put your trust in Jesus to save you, and you will pass from death to life. Then read the Bible daily and obey what you read. (See John 14:21). Your obedience to God is the proof of your love. Have faith in God, He will never fail you

Would rather just change everyone else according to our view? Isn't that want most people dislike about religions that try to convert someone?

Isn't that truly self-centered and naricistic?

Changing yourself is a sacrifice.

What do you think?

why are Christians so opposed to casinos and lottories? Is it a case of do as I say not as I do?Or is it just a personal dislike of gambling that modern christians feel they need to impose on others?

There is probably something that you have put off doing. I challenge you to see if you can tackle and finish that project, within the next 7 days. Come on, I bet if you did finish it, you would be less stressed out, and be glad that you finally finished it.

So....
What have you put off finishing, and what you are you going to do about it?

My procrastination items I am tackling
Go to a local business to find out if something I lost is still in the lost and found (I was too embarrassed to ask for it back).
I will finish my long overdue thank you notes from my graduation party.
Fold and put away the mountain of clean laundry in the laundry room.

What about you?

Think about it...

Certainly feminism has changed course from it's original intent in some ways. However, if we truly treated them as equals would there be a need to have a movement like that?

Certainly our personalities are suited for different roles. Of course there are exceptions to that rule but really are they inferior? I don't think so. I know very smart business women and I know very kind and nurturing housewives. They run the gamut. Some work because they have to do, some do it because they want to.

Is one role inferior to another? Of course not. It all works together in harmony.

Men get all hyped up about feminism but really all women want, in general, is to be respected for the person they are.

They just want to be heard, appreciated, and loved. So why not give them that?

There is something very special and spiritual about them, don't you agree?

If the Greek word apo, translated "from" in 2Th 1:9, is interpreted to denote separation, as it often is interpreted to mean, then do you not see Rev 14:10 as a contradiction to that verse? If they do contradict, is it safe to assume that apo did not refer to separation, but a source (i.e. "from" meaning the punishment is produced by God, "from God"), which, in turn, renders the contradiction void?

Eastern Orthodox Christians see punishment happening in the presence of God, harmonizing with Rev 14:10, but with the popular interpretation of 2Th 1:9, others see the punishment as including separation from God.

How can we reconcile these differences and apparent contradictions?
