When Jesus said to "believe" on Him, He was saying we should have faith in Him, in the same way you would trust a parachute to save you when you jump from a plane. You don't merely believe in the parachute - you put it on. Please don't "jump" without Jesus. If you die in your sins there is no second chance. God will give you justice, and you will end up in Hell forever. Any troubles you have at present are dwarfed by the trouble you are in with your Creator. His wrath abides upon you (John 3:36). God doesn't want you to go to Hell. Neither do you want to go there, so confess your sins to God right now, put your trust in Jesus to save you, and you will pass from death to life. Then read the Bible daily and obey what you read. (See John 14:21). Your obedience to God is the proof of your love. Have faith in God, He will never fail you

Uh........ I'll just say something.

If someone told me to jump off a plane I won't do it without a parachute, but if Jesus told me to without one I will trust him and jump I might ask why first, but I trust him. I do also belive in God and I am saved I also tell him to forgive my sins and stuff and I bet he does. Well, I know I'll be seeing you in Heaven scince you told us to let Jesus save us and that usally means you let him save you.

Jesus also gave us common sense. I have faith in Jesus but I don't think he means for us to jump off a cliff or jump out of an airplane without a parachute. Another thing........you make it sound like we should be scared. Jesus doesn't want us to be afraid of him. I know he will never fail me. Thx for the input though.

Yes, it sounds lovely, but it means precisely nothing to me I'm afraid. You say God will never fail me; you may think he does but how do you know? And if God doesn't want me to go to Hell, why will he send me there unless I believe in him? If I have to obey the Bible, does that mean I can't eat shellfish? Et cetera.

I'm unable to disregard these issues (and countless others) I have with Christianity (as well as other religions). If I have to suspend my reason, then how do I know what I actually believe in? For all I know, it could be the devil telling me to just accept his teachings and stop asking so many friggin' questions.

I regularly jump out of airplanes without a parachute ... when I reach my assigned parking spot ... right after I shut down the engine, and turn off all the electronics.

As far as I know, that's OK with Jesus, too.

He's got enough to do without worrying about me.

Its funny to me how Christians use fear to recruit people. This type of rant will only work on weak minded people, and that means that their actions will be insincere. Can you not see that? "He will never fail you?" Tell that to victims of the holocaust or 9/11. Where was god then? I'm sure during those times there were believers that prayed for those types of injustices to end.

Would you stick a gun to your head and pull the trigger without checking to see if it's unloaded? I believe in God...but he gave us the brains and will power to make right and wrong decisions. Who are you to preach to the rest of us?

Good afternoon...12:05 pm
or as simple as trusting the chair that we have our do nothings in at the present time.

I agree.
I would like to say I would jump neither with nor without as I am afraid of heights. Well, not so much heights as falling from them. :)

For what does it profit a man if he should gain the whole world and lose his own soul?
For what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

Think on these things!
