why are Christians so opposed to casinos and lottories? Is it a case of do as I say not as I do?Or is it just a personal dislike of gambling that modern christians feel they need to impose on others?

Shannon,
Maybe YOU should read the bible. If you actually read it instead of just blindly believing the small portion you hear in church on sunday you may learn a few things. God and Lucifer worked together. Lucifer means "light bringer" Jesus claimed to be the lightbringer. HHMMMMM!!!!!

Hogwash! Your question is irrelevant.

God doesn't have to make bets. The victory has already been won, and He is just sorting out the weeds from the wheat.

God didn't gamble with money. He gambled with human lives, like they were nothing. He killed all of Jobs innocent children and wives on a bet.

Which bible says that? Secondly did u do a survey of ALL
christians;you seem to be more judgemental than they!!
I love God but I personally let God judge others since I am NOT him so you gamble if u feel de need and let yr conscience be yr guide.
A word for ConstElation- Why r u challenging God to rule Hell for 7000 years when he already has the keys for Heaven and Hades(hell).if anyone's *** will be kicked and thrown into an abyss it may b yours cos God decides where you will go... PLEASE do Not disrespect God to big up yourself!!!!

Where do you get God made a bet with Satan? God made Satan so we would have a choice in life. We can serve God or serve Satan. No gambling involved. Maybe you should read they bible ,Hun. Stop listing to who ever you get your information from.

You misunderstood...God doesn't need to bet..to bet means you don't know the outcome...God knew, always, how it would end.

My main objection to gambling is, wasting your money..The bible tells us to be good managers of our money,,,and I don't think gambling is using your money in a wise way. Also, those who gamble are usually drinking,,which is not a good way to treat your body..the temple...so I will stay away,,,but hey,, if you want to gamble..I don't see anyone preventing you from doing it...there is one born every minute....PT Barnum said about fools...and while we are on that subject...a fool and his money are soon parted..that is in Proverbs..

Hono,
Gambling is satan's way of destroying people. You may already be one of his minions but I am not. Gambling is prohibited and I will not do it. GOD did not and does not gamble and HIS CHILDREN certainly will not. Have a nice day.
Thanks,
Eds

When you're on the same level as God, then feel free to gamble as much as you like.

Games of chance are forbidden by Deuteronomy 7

According to the Simpsons anyway.

Gambling is envy, greed, and sometimes wrath, pure and simple.
