New ones, But they should have been wearing moon boots since they were catching a ride on Haily's (bad spelling) commet.

There is an old joke that the kids in New Orleans used to pull on the tourists: They would tell you where you got your shoes and you would have to give them $5.
Well, you knew there wasn't anyway the brat would know the name of the shoe store where you purchased your shoes, so you would take him up on it.
But the answer was: "You got your shoes on
And if you didn't fork up the $5, the big bad gang banger hanging behind you would whip your rear end until you did.
About the only way you could get out of it was to know the French name of the street and try to beat them on a technicality (if you pointed to the signs, they said Rue de Bourbon....).
