Think about it...
Certainly feminism has changed course from it's original intent in some ways. However, if we truly treated them as equals would there be a need to have a movement like that?
Certainly our personalities are suited for different roles. Of course there are exceptions to that rule but really are they inferior? I don't think so. I know very smart business women and I know very kind and nurturing housewives. They run the gamut. Some work because they have to do, some do it because they want to.
Is one role inferior to another? Of course not. It all works together in harmony.
Men get all hyped up about feminism but really all women want, in general, is to be respected for the person they are.
They just want to be heard, appreciated, and loved. So why not give them that?
There is something very special and spiritual about them, don't you agree?

Love does not bring equal pay? You were loved in general by men would they not wish to compensate you equally?

Sure feminist have to watch lest they become what they fought against. That's not the scope of this question though. Merely, maybe a little more love and lot less ruling over people I'm thinking.

There is an answer that makes me wonder if my whole thing was read. There are exceptions to roles. Some men take on the nurturing role as some women take on the leadership roles.

You're a well-meaning fellow, I'm sure. But you know how feminists say that some men "just don't get it?" Your question shows that you really don't. There is an "it" which you do not "get".
Your entire argument is based on the presumption that there is a certain role for women, and a certain role for men, and that "equality" consists of valuing those roles as equally as possible. That attitude leads to little real appreciation or understanding, but a ton of sappy poetry about the glories of motherhood and feminine virtue.
However valued a role is, it still constrains behavior in certain ways. Those constraints cause problems even for those who feel naturally suited for the role. For people who don't fit the role at all, but are pressured into it anyways, it causes nothing but pain.
Feminism -- whatever you perceive its excesses to be -- has given women the freedom to choose the roles that suit them, rather than forcing them into roles chosen from them by a male-dominated society. You think the traditional roles are valuable, but that's not for you to decide for anyone else. Luring all womankind back into the cage by promising that this time they'll be "heard, appreciated, and loved" isn't going to work.
Women are only "special and spiritual" when they're conforming to your vision of womanhood. The ones who don't want to be mothers, the ones who want to serve public office, the ones who want to express their sexuality in "ungodly" ways, they're just degenerates who can be freely ridiculed (or even stoned, in some cultures).
Honestly, it sounds like you think the ideal relationship between men and women is less akin to democracy than to a benign dictatorship. If you truly respect a woman as an equal, and believe that her beliefs, desires, and needs are as valuable as your own, then why even play at the whole "the man is the head of the family" nonsense?

I have no problem seeing women as equals in humanity and i've always given them the respect they deserved. As far as i know they were here before us (men) and i really don't care what the bible said because it's obvious that it promotes male chauvinism.
The men u described as getting hyped up by their movement are those who, are those who fell under that chauvinistic spell of ego and being stronger etc.
We are supposed to help, teach, respect, protect, support them and make them happy and in return the rewards they give would show us their value and contributions which would eventually reflect on the children. Hopefully one day this will be achieved and there won't be a need for all which feminists are fighting for.
Peace

When I read your question I knew I had to respond even though it was addressed to men, then I saw that many women has already responded!
That is the most refreshing thought to come down the pike in a long time.........
Having grown up with 6 brothers I can tell you the competition to "prove" yourself starts early in life. It won't be enough to love your wife, you will also have to instill confidence and a sense of worth in your daughters..........

No there would be no need, When God married Adam and Eve in the garden he said and they will be come one flesh, equal and in agreement she should be treated that way!Your rib was what she was made out of and that is the closest thing to your heart, keep her there the closes one to your heart so that she can feel every beat of your LOVE and to protect that vital organ.

i agree. We should just love one another . It would be nice if women didn't have to work . Until the kids are in school, that would be beneficial to both. My friend make more money than her husband . She is the boss b/c of it. I don't think he feels like much of a man.
GOD BLESS

you are right if men would love woman as Jesus loves His church feminism would die. because the man would treat a woman as a part of him. and very few people go around hurting themselves. here is a nice article from Chuck Colson.

I'm all for women striving for equal pay for equal work.
However, some feminists seem to believe in female supremacy. Female supremacists and male supremacists both deserve to be shipped off to the moon.
Let's have some real gender equality, please.
