I have been through serious depression and now it seems to be getting better as i don't get as many panic attacks anymore. However, sometimes, when i asked help from God, he doenst seem to answer me. I feel frustrated about it at times and sometimes, it even leads to a panic attack. I feel that there's no one around to look after me and that I'm all alone. I'm really scared i'll backslide and deny him one day. I know it's not right, but sometime i do that unintentionally. :( Please help me! I want a close and personal relationship with him. How can i achieve that?

My sister, who I hadn't seen for over 20 years came to stay with me from Aussie for christmas 2001. It was fantastic to get together after all those years and meet her children at last.
While she was here she suggested we invest in a pc to keep in touch with all of them. It used to take weeks to recieve her mail. So out came the trusty credit card, and she did her best to teach me to email. Thank goodness the credit card was soon paid off! lol
Anyway, we now mail almost daily and I am watching her girls web pages as they grow into young ladies.
So my question is. How long have you had a computer and what prompted you to buy it in the first place?
Thanks for your replies, well if I get some! lol

Mark 10:17
"....Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"
Mark 10:18
"And Jesus said unto him, why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, this is, God."
Now with a serious note, to me Jesus just explained to the man and to you and me, that He is not God, by the logic that He is not good.
I am reading this correctly?

Please where is it?

Please don’t judge, but I do drugs sometimes, but have been cutting down a lot on the times I do, so now it’s probably one night out a month.

My boyfriend and I had planned a very rare day for just the two of us, but he then decided to throw a party for a friends birthday the night before. I said that was fine, but I would stay home because I didn’t want to take anything as the next day was v important to me. This party was for a non close friend, and only 7 people came. In my mind it was just an excuse to get off our heads, which is why I didn’t want to go. He said if I wasn’t bothered to travel to his for the party then he wouldn’t see me the next day. So I went, and altho I’d said I didn’t want to take anything, my bf started guilt tripping me saying things like “I can’t FORCE you to have fun” and just making me feel rubbish for not wanting to. So I did. I wanted to go to bed at 3am, but he coaxed me into staying up until 6am. Then I had to go to bed.

The Anger-Eating Demon

http://www.buddhistinformation.com/anger_eating_demon.htm

Before you criticize me for attempting to call you all hateful individuals, know that it is not my wish to generalize. However, much of Christianity does allow for equal retaliation and the belief that there is eternal torment for the non-Christians, and there are many who hate others who seem to be deep in "sin." This is so bad at times that some will even take delight in the thought that non-Christians will go to Hell.

What good is this thinking? This is not what Jesus taught. Should you not learn from his example and the example of other peaceful individuals, i.e. Buddha, Gandhi, etc?

Retaliation only begets more suffering, and your mind itself may do harm to you and others.

Who made them the deciders. I often hear things like: "Beyonce isn't Black," Why? because she is caramel (not even all that light). But Beyonce says she is Black. Black people say she is Black. what else is there?

Most white people don't even know what being Black means, who are they to decide who is Black and who is not?

Did Bhagwan Mahavir and Mahatma Buddha ever Met?

Here is an interesting question…

Bhagwan Mahavir, the 24th Teerthankar of Jainism and Mahatma Buddha, the founder of Buddhism both were contemporary personalities. Both were in same region and we can find that both were visiting Rajgrahi, Vaishali, Shravasti and many other towns again and again. Many of the kings and other famous personalities at that time were disciples of both of them.

Now the question is Did Bhagwan Mahavir and Mahatma Buddha ever met? Is there any referance to this in Pali and Prakrit texts?

I am curious about this.

Mine are "Cancer in little kids is a gift from god" and "The bible never changes."
The former for obvious reasons the latter because it shows such grevious ignorance of the origins of the religion. (that is to say the bible has been translated many times and has changed alot. Heck it had a whole testament added)

There are alot of questions about blacks & blacks committing crime. White ppl as usual feel like black ppl are trying to blame whitey and slavery.

In my opinion it's the persons fault for committing the crime, but collectively, whitey also has an unseen hand in inprisoning black ppl & I'm not understanding how they don't see that. What do you think?

plans? I invited my friends daughter on an outing (she's 9), and my friend said yes, thanks. This was a week before we were going. Two days before we were meant to go, I checked with her about it, and she said "oh, no she's not going now sorry, I made plans for her to go to my mom's house to sleepover". Is this rude, and would I have the right to say something? Last time this happened, she was messing me around for nearly a week before I got a straight answer out of her. Also, I'd left the day free last week to go, and turned down other invites because I thought I had plans, do you think I should speak up now?

Global warming:
Why do you believe in it?
over the last 100 years, it has warmed up an average of 0.6*C, far less than daily, even hourly changes.
I won't go into detail, but I'd like to know.
Air pollution I understand, but why is it being forgotten for global warming?

Isn't this day a man made day?
We made dates.
Therefore, how is 07-07-07 a lucky day?
the two sevens made by two people hugging or whatever... those are purely imagination, by definition. The more we have it, the more easily we will see an object forming in a vague shape (and the more vague it can be).
Those are not perfect sevens.
Seven is also a man-made number.
The reason why there were so many marriages was because humans made it happen that way.
What's with this superstition?

One last thing
Psychics.
They start by telling you something very vague and wide, so that their chances are high of being right.
You then get what they told you, so you are happy... but what didn't happen?
A lot!

MY boyfriend and I were on our way home from a weekend in Cornwall and had decided that we would meet up with a couple friend of ours on the way home. They were out having a meal and we were going to join them for a drink. I fell asleep in the car and when I woke up it was 9pm and we still hadn’t reached our friends. I asked my boyfriend if we could leave it, as by the time we got there, had a drink and got home it’d be past midnight, that I was really tired and had work in the morning and needed to iron some clothes. He just went off on a rant and shouted at me, no we couldn’t cancel the plans. I said it would be OK cos they were out together, and would understand that we’d got caught in traffic. He just ignored me and glared at me and said “we’re going. End of”.

When we got there, he jumped out of the car and slammed the door, I followed him into the restaurant and when we got to the door I said “please don’t be in a mood...
