There are alot of questions about blacks & blacks committing crime. White ppl as usual feel like black ppl are trying to blame whitey and slavery.
In my opinion it's the persons fault for committing the crime, but collectively, whitey also has an unseen hand in inprisoning black ppl & I'm not understanding how they don't see that. What do you think?

Ppl use the word racist too loosely. I can see if I called you cracker or redneck, but whitey is just that...white. You're white aren't you? It may not be the most PC thing to say, but I'm not PC.

No, sensible people will always acknowledge that there is crime going on in the world, regardless of colour. Your opinion is that you think "The White Man" is responsible for putting "The Black Man" in prison. Well I should expect so if they have commited a crime, and I would expect the same level of treatment if "White Man" had commited the crime. If there is a disproportionate amount of black people in prison, then surely this can't all be Whitey's fault? Or is it? We have an unseen hand in imprisoning black people? - I disagree. There will never be legitimate surveys avaliable as to who commits the more crimes, blacks or whites, but I would be very interested to see that outcome.

Because most (not all) white people view American society (I'm assuming you're referring to the U.S.) as based on THEIR culture and values -- and all other people (i.e. - minorities) are just outliers & fringe-dwellers who either have to "assimilate" or suffer. And if minorities behave differently than the mainstream, they are viewed as either stupid or evil. As a result, they are ostracized and mistrusted. White teachers treat brown students sternly, white pedestrians cross the street or run into the nearest store when they see a black person behind them, resumes with Hispanic names are filtered out and not given the time of day because there's a concern regarding the applicants legal status, etc. This demoralizes many (not all) minorities and hence often develop an "I don't give a sh!t attitude".

I do admire the way you ask questions and answers them, but using color in a derogatory form in any way is raciest (remember the question you asked on the definition of a raciest?)
I understand were you are coming from by calling it what it is: whitey=white people, rapist=a person that raped, murder=a person that killed, ect.
but like one of your answers said, "would YOU like to be called 'Blacky'?" and is it fair for people to call YOU=RACIEST?
I still love your questions and answers and I hope you didn't take what I had to say the wrong way. You have a great mind and a wonderful wit about yourself, but instead of us bit*hing about the problem of racism we can start by not being raciest.

Actuall it's pretty racist to generalize all white people as unaware, even if you are white. I am a white man and I am fully aware of the rampant racism in this society. I am comitted to doing what I can to overcome it in the small sphere I inhabit. Please don't add to the racism with generalizations about racial groups.
By definition if you judge an entire race to have a negative characteristic you are being racist. It is not using the term too freely, it is using the term correctly. I am a good bit older than you. I remember when the same thing was done all over this nation in reference to black citizens. I called it out then and I'll continue to do so now.

I think a lot of white people either a) miss the point or b) are misinformed about race relations in the US. I have seen many a post on Y!A from whites who think that discrimination and prejudice no longer occurs in this country.
I have also seen what you mentioned - whites thinking that blacks sit around and complain all the time; blaming everything on slavery and whathaveyou.
I agree with you- our so-called judicial system is completely flawed. I read an article the other day that said racial profiling is a myth where police stops are concerned. Apparently, police as just as likely to pull over white motorists as non-whites. BUT the disparity happens when it comes to car searches and arrests. Non-whites are 4 times more likely to have their person and their car searched as well as their personal information run at the station.
I've always argued that when it comes to drugs, "justice" is not blind at all. When someone is arrested and convicted of possession of crack, they automatically get 5+ years (usually mandatory) and it's a felony. When someone is arrested and convicted of possession of cocaine, the sentence is not mandatory - it's quite negotiable and it's not a felony. Who is likely to have crack? Blacks. Who is likely to have coke? Whites. That's no coincidence.
Thank you for posting that! It's true. Society is still perpetuating inequality.

Your question read as double talking. You state it is the persons fault for committing the crime, but whites have a unseen hand?I do believe white or any other color,we do what we want to do.No one can make anyone do what they refuse to do.I am an adult and take full responsibility for I do in life.I'm old and have seen a lot, believe me that is the only way to live.I feel we all have a chance to change our lives for the better. And yes the worse. You must be between 18-25,that is the age where most want to understand who they are and what life is about.Your life is your life, you life it your way.Good question...

Why don't you f*ckin people stop blaming everyone else for your problems, and take responsability for your own actions. If a white person committed a crime I would expect them to be punished. Crime is Crime and should be punished no matter what race. Have you ever heard of reverse racism, sounds like you have it. Enjoy and good luck in a world that according to you wants to have you punished for committing a crime.
Have a nice day!

You're exactly right---A crime is a crime is regardless of what skin color the person who committed the crime happened to have. White people don't feel the sting of racism. That is why is it so easy for them to ignore. I personally still don't understand what skin color has to do with anything. We are all still souls put here on earth by God. He didn't want us to get bored looking at the same colors so he gave us a selection to look at.

Well, don't you know? The ones doing the most yapping and belittling, degrading and discriminating are the ones committing the most crimes. In this case you mention "why don't whites realize"? It is because they do commit the most crimes whether they be hate crimes, constant civil rights violations, robberies, serial killings, murders, income tax evasion, rapes, peeping toms, voyeurism, stalking, and the list goes on and on. Whites just don't like to portray themselves as the worst criminals because it's inbred into them from birth, generation passed down to generation, that "they must overrate themselves and pass on this hate gene to all their offspring".
Nothing will stop the "feeding frenzy" until Armageddon destroys the wicked.
They do play a large role, however, in Black people being incarsarated in that every chance they get they attempt to discriminate and cause a Black person to 'fail' because they don't want them to get ahead, etc., and there's so many of them (Caucazoids) around that it is a damaging effect unless Black people educate themselves with the law and put their (the Caucazoids') butts in place; in check as it were.
Trust..
