It is not a cultural bias, it is a societal bias. Learn the difference. No, I don't believe more men would be with men if the societal bias was removed.

Yes, about 10-11% of the population would be in Gay relationships without the mess of dragging 'pretend' wives into the scene (unfair, no matter how it is viewed). There would be no need for all this sneaking around behind the wive's back. Our cultural bias is nothing short of stupid, ignorant, and denial.

I agree with a few of the others when they say that more men might stop marrying a "beard" and live their lives truthfully. But I dont think all would do it....I honestly believe that some men get a thrill from having sex with other men secretly.

I think that most people, let's say 66%, are fundamentally bisexual, maybe only a little and maybe a lot. But I think that more young people would experiement with both sexes if there weren't so much stigma attached to it. My two roommates in college, both very straight in the open, got down and dirty one night for like three hours while I tried to sleep...

It is estimated that 10-11% of the popuation is homosexual. That number---if you accept that it is a "by birth" instead of a "by choice" issue. would not change.

However, a more open environment would allow more honesty about the subject. There would be some benefits for most gay men...and they would be more visable.

But, the actual number would not change.

firstly...the Rev. Einstein....more women in this world have AIDS than men....please do your research before attempting to answer a question.....

secondly, I do not think that more men would be with another man. That would mean that sexuality would be a choice. As stated many times within these Q&A's, it is not a choice.

No. Being a gay man means submitting to the sexual desires of other men.

Why would a man choose to submit to other men instead of being an equal among men? Why would other men want to associate with a guy who likes to submit to others?

No man with a healthy self esteem would bend over for another man. It has nothing to do with culture.

I think more men would be honest about what they are already doing regardless of the stigma.
