I work
I go to school
I volunteer
I play with my children at the park
I swim (yes in a public pool with an Islamic bathing suit)
I go shopping, buying whatever it is that I want to wear
I drive
I go out with friends till 2 in the morning

And I do all these things without my husband. So I would like to know how I am oppressed.

My husband:
Gives me flowers every time he is paid.
Hands me money when ever I ask, and does not say but you have a job too.
Pays all the bills
Gives me everything I want and more, my car is even better than his.

So please tell me why I as a Muslim woman am I seen as oppressed. Why do some people look at me in pity? Why would someone think that I do not have a voice and would not be able to think for myself?

I am a Christian and i though my boyfriend was too because he went to church and he prayed. But last night he told me that he wasnt because he couldnt believe one religion when all religions think they are right. This made me really sad, but i didnt show it. In the Bible is said to be equally yolked and before i went out with anyone i promised myself that i wouldnt go out with anyone who wasnt a Christian. I am still growing in my relationship with God. (im 15 yrs old) So, when he said those things it made me feel mad and sad that he didnt believe. If someone could help me with this or give me some bible refrence that would help me so much. I really need some help. Thanks.

This is it, the BIG question, prompted thanks to the little 'Band of Brothers' that has coalesced here on Y!A., and it is thanks to them that I am brought to ask it.

We all know, thanks to Albert, that energy is matter, and vice versa. It is just different manifestations of the same 'stuff', thanks to the elusive Higgs-Boson 'particle', which is still theoretical, although CERN and Wisconsin are working on super-accelerators to try to refine our understanding of this, and other, major issues of particulate physics.

Now, we know pretty much, albeit very crudely what happens, and even one version of how, matter returns to the energetic state. The nuclear reactions, both fission and fusion are fairly well understood now.

The BIG mystery, about which we apparently have no clue, is the opposite, how does energy become matter ?

Please feel free to let your mind go free in answering this question, the answer is staring us, quite literally, right in the face.

do you dream of them. and is that their way of trying to communicate with you from (the other side). what if you were not that close and you never dream of them. Does that mean that there can never be a spiritual bond because you were not that close when they were physically on Earth

I don't understand something, and maybe you can help.

I used to work in retail doing returns and exchanges in a department store. We had policies in place that kept people from bringing back items they had either damaged or would cost the store too much money to take back. I enforced these policies with EVERYONE. It didn't matter who they were. Some customers were black, and some of those (not all, but some) would throw out the line "It's because I'm black," and then proceed to indirectly call me racist, to which management would pretty much cave in and give them what they wanted and basically agree with them.

I find this very insulting and a little confusing. How is it that I can treat blacks the same way I treat everyone else and be a racist, yet some of them can look at me and assume that I'm a biggot because of my skin color, and yet I'm still the one who is wrong? I know that there are whites who are racist, but why do some think they have the right to assume I am one?

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentence.
