The resemblance is non-existent. I agree that they are probable on par with many subject concerns through fact they're democrats. Kerry became a douche bag and thats why he misplaced. Obama isn't any Kerry. you're unwarranted assaults at the instant are not something new, too undesirable we at the instant are not gonna be fooled for a 0.33 time by making use of this GOP nonsense. it rather is purely hilarious you have the cojones to make a stupid assessment while Your candidate, John McCain, has taken up the Bush Mantra and employed a Bush-clone for his working mate. The Obama Kerry similarity may well be creepy, however the Bush-McCain coalition is downright terrifying.

You spelled Pharisee using uppercase. Why did you include the lowercase "pharisee" definition? You could have really had a point to make if you had left it out, but in inserting it your question shows your true self more than it causes people to stop and think.
Luke 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I AM NOT AS OTHER MEN ARE, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

The Pharisees of ancient Palestine are who are responsible for RABBINIC JUDAISM today.. If it wasn't for them, the sadducees and the hellinistic Jews would have been assimilated into MODERNITY and Judaism would have been lost forever
----------------------
The Pharisee ("separatist") party emerged largely out of the group of scribes and sages who harked back to Ezra and the Great Assembly. The meaning of the name is unclear; it may refer to their rejection of Hellenic culture or to their objection to the Hasmonean monopoly on power. It is difficult to state at what time the Pharisees, as a party, arose. Josephus first mentions them in connection with Jonathan, the successor of Judas Maccabeus ("Ant." xiii. 5, § 9). One of the factors that distinguished the Pharisees from other groups prior to the destruction of the Temple was their belief that all Jews had to observe the purity laws (which applied to the Temple service) outside the Temple. The major difference, however, was the continued adherence of the Pharisees to the laws and traditions of the Jewish people in the face of assimilation. As Josephus noted, the Pharisees were considered the most expert and accurate expositors of Jewish law.

Built into the Bible are scapegoat passages that allow for name-calling, excuses and explanations for virtually every possibility in the exercise of the religion(s). Want to find proof that there's only "one true religion?" It's there. Want to find proof that Jesus didn't expect his followers to build churches and create formal structures by which to "lord it over" their fellows? It's there. Saved by works? Yep. Saved by faith? Yep.
There are sweet, gentle Christians who exercise their religion as kind people who would harm none by word or deed. Others are just so glad they have hell to send you to. I'm actually stunned by some of the answers to this question that seem to be from "Christians." Wow. Another day when I learn something new.
The pagans I know are consistently good, kind, pleasant people. I've even met Christian pagans, though you'd think that was oxymoronic, I guess it's not.

I think that when Christianity becomes something carried out under the power of the fallen fleshly nature and not under the power of the Spirit it has all the potential of becoming just like the religion of the Pharisees in the time of Jesus.
True Christians have been persecuted by the religious system throughout Christianity's history.
I would recommend to you "Foxe's Book of Martyrs".

Why does your book contain so much hate for my people? Why does your God condemn non-believers to eternal torment. You won't find such hate and intolerance in my book, the Torah (OT).
Read "The Mythmaker, Paul and the Invention of Christianity" by Hyam Maccoby. You will learn much about both the Pharisees and the Saducees.

dear ibis: nobody makes others look bad. only themselves. i don't let atheists like you who offer nothing constructive, only your scorn and mocking tone, effect my view of other atheists, many of which are very agreeable to disagree and we get along. give respect to get it. you can't seem to do that. PDSB is hillarious. i agree...you're "fixed"??? thought they did that to dogs and cats? now people? interestink.
