I struggled with this one for years. I was violently sexually abused By my Father who is an elder in the Jehovah's Witnesses..I have prayed for years for
God to show me what forgiveness for something like this is supposed to be like.
I finally have come to the revilation that I do not wish on him or anyone else to go to hell. I hope that he can get reconciled with God, but I never want to hear from him or speak to him EVER, and I still have some rage....
How do some of you work through issues and come to forgiveness?

Not too long ago, I posted a question in which I dismissed all the so-called "psychics" as frauds. I even used Sylvia Browne as a prime example and posted a link to a website that proves she's a fraud. However, some people still cling to the notion that psychics exist and that Sylvia Browne is the genuine article.

Even Buddhist identity?

Is there a way we can do things, and not be attached to them in a way that bad qualities decrease & the good increase?

'Emptily' of 'self': i.e. (fairly) Altruistically ... ? :-)

Can the death of something false, be the birth of something good?

Like phoenixes (-ices) from flames?

Everybody WILL bow and confess Jesus is Lord. This is going to happen. Even the most agnostic and athesist poster on Yahoo. You can either do it in this life for salvation or at Judgement when all you have to look forward to is an eternity in darkness, torment and despair. The question to you is which will it be? I expect to get a lot of smart aleck answers, but remember you will be against the power that presently holds the entire universe together. You are insignificant against even the smallest portion of that. So I am asking you to ask yourself this question seriously.

And pls tell me, how must I get used to it? Is that true that after buyingone, I must do some "ritual" to create a "connection" between the Tarot and inside of me? (It sounds so magical huh!)
And after all, have you seen any ppl FAIL with learning Tarot?
Pls tell me, thanks so much!

No offense, but I mean....what IS your definition of Pagan?

When I think of Pagans, I think of differen't things...like Egyptians were Pagans weren't they? What about the Romans and the Greeks? The Anglo-Saxons, and the religion in Arabia before Islam....you know?

There are different Pagan religions, so when people on here say "I'm Pagan" which Pagan religion do they follow?

I am a Mormon.
My faith teaches me that Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God, the Savior of the World. That He died for our sins and was resurrected three days later. That He lives now, and that He loves each of us individually and personally. That through the Grace of Christ, my sins can be forgiven. I try to live my live according to the gospel that He taught, and it brings me great happiness.
My faith teaches me to work hard, love my family, support my community. To respect the rights of others to hold their own beliefs, even when they differ from mine.

Here is the question: Why do I see so much hate and personal attacks toward members of my faith on this site? If you don't agree with the doctrine, fine. But why hate me for it? Why try to tear down my faith, to mock and defame past and present leaders of my church?

Atheists -- same question can be asked of you for all Christian denominations. Why so intent on personal attacks?

Let the abuse begin! : )

Have you ever noticed during an evolution vs. creation debate how so many of the proponents of evolution become angry and vitriolic and outraged?? What is it that fires them up so much? They get downright angry. Wonder why? Could it be, once again, the offence of the Cross?

I have a legitimate question for both groups-do either believe there's an Afterlife?
How do you deal with the loss of a loved one? What do you believe happens to them once they pass on?
I do not know very much about either Agnostics or Atheists and I'd really like to know what you believe in.
Thank you in advance.

It's interesting the different reasons why people don't believe in God, or believe in a certain religion.

So why do you believe in what you believe in?

Is it blind faith? Is it the lack of anything else? Is it because you've grown up in it? What is it?

Initially I believed in Christianity because my parents were saved shortly after I was born. Later I turned my life to the world and tried pretty much everything else in the world during my high school years. I've tried alcohol, tobacco, drugs, sex, violence, everything. The reason I believe in Christianity now is because it is the only way of hope for me and the only thing that managed to turn me from my old ways.

Long story short, I have a new job/boss (same company). But, because I've needed to train my replacement for my old role, I'm still somewhat "managed" by my old bosses. Though the process has taken longer than I've wanted and thought it would, I've been totally cool, patient, pleasant to work with, etc. I mean, I've gone above and beyond to make sure they are taken care of, for when I officially move into my new role... So, here's my dilemma. They haven't been very nice to me, at all, since I've put in my notice. Off/on they've walked all over me. I honestly feel like they don't want me to leave on a good note or something, because the way they treat me is totally different then before, and for no reason. Most recently, one of them, tried to make me look bad in front of my new boss. Again, for something I didn't say nor do. I guess I just REALLY need advice on how to handle this difficult boss/situation, so I don't leave a poor impression on my new boss.
