Not too long ago, I posted a question in which I dismissed all the so-called "psychics" as frauds. I even used Sylvia Browne as a prime example and posted a link to a website that proves she's a fraud. However, some people still cling to the notion that psychics exist and that Sylvia Browne is the genuine article.

Raven's Voice: In all fairness, I'm not being harmed by these people's belief in Sylvia Browne or other "psychics". However, I do think that psychopathic con artists like Sylvia Browne should be stopped, so they can't make a profit off of desperate people.

Hi Tangerine,
I agree with you but I do not open links that I am not sure about. I know there are such people out there everywhere. They just won't listen to reason and do not want to know the rtuth. In fact, many would not know the truth if it bit them. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks,
Eds

I know all psychics are frauds. I read last month an article in a mag that listed some of her predictions for 2004 and 2006. It is really amazing that anyone would believe such a person who makes so many blunders. I could do much better than that. I studied astrology 2 years and began doing horoscopes for people. I eventually saw it was nonsense. I concocted fake ones that I gave to people, and they proved to be more accurate in most cases than the genuine ones. I could become a psychic who beats Silly-er-Sylvia...if I had no conscience. She has none.

The fact that Sylvia Browne is a fraud does not prove that all others are also frauds. That's like saying that a single point determines a circle. Why don't you check out the fact of this statement?

The opinion of one article or website is not necessarily hard core evidence that "psychics" are fake. We only use 10-perhaps 30% of our brains, and there are those who have tapped into a percentage of the other 70-90% and have developed skills that no one can understand. So I wouldn't pass off psychics as fake until we all have started to use 100% of our brains capabilities. It IS entirely possible for someone to posess skills far greater than the average person, including psychism and telekinesis. Take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt, and not hard core facts, because there are people out there who publish things regarding things they don't believe to be true, just so people will hang off their every word.

People who don't want to check out the facts are people who will live in denial of the truth until the day they pass over.
That's the reason some people don't believe in the bible because if they are asking for proof that god exist well, I suppose if one could catch him put him in a test tube shake him about, pour some chemicals in put it on the b.burner and that would prove that there is God the Almighty Creator of all men/women. Animals, The earth, The whole universe, moon Stars, sea the air we breath for survival on this planet.

You can't tell those of us who have had an experience with a legitimate psychic( I realize all are not legit) that all are frauds.
It's alright for you to not believe in them. I know people on both sides-those who disbelieve, and those like myself who do. I never attempt to sway the non believers into agreeing with me.
I have my own experiences to base my beliefs on.
Continue being a non believer, but at the same time, allow those of us who believe to believe!
It's almost as bad as someone forcing their religion on you.
Everybody believes in different things.
Just let it be-you shouldn't care what others believe in.

I think there are some who can be "mediums" or "psychics" the bible tells us in Lev. 20:6
"31Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God"
I'm not saying that Sylvia Brown is real or fake but I am saying there are people who can communicate with spirits or their "guides". This website might help.

Sylvia Browne charges people $700 to speak with her on the phone for half an hour.
Hard to believe, isn't it?

Oh, those people exist, and they do have some powers.
But their power comes from "the dark side". And as destructive as it was in "STAR WARS", it is equally destructive in real life.
A psychic may tell you some things of your future or your past which turn out true. But haven't you told a lie with weaving some of the truth into it?
While psychics do exist, it's all part of trying to get you caught into using them constantly. Any form of "evil" is to get you caught, get you hooked into it. Look at cigarettes, gambling, porn, domestic abuse.
Living in New Mexico, rhere are many kinds of various spiritualisms in the area. At the Santa Fe flea market some years back, I came upon a young man who read tarot cards. He was dressed in the hollywood version of an ancient magician, in a long black robe decorated with stars and half-moons. As I passed him as he was setting his cards on the ground, he suddenly looked up at me, staring daggers at me as I passed, as if I was a danger to him.
While I am an active Christian, I am NOT actively engaged in trying to get psychics and tarot readers abolished. I'm not out on sidewalks with pickets against them. I really am a very private person. I merely choose not to frequent their vocations.
But seeing that young man staring at me with such anger, I immediately knew where his power came from, I knew who was giving him his knowledge.
And it is such an experience which helps me to understand what their 'game' is all about. And I choose not to play their game.
