Twenty years ago my folks had an ugly divorce, a year after it came out that my dad was gay. He still had sex outside marriage, and gave her crabs during that time. He told my grandparents the reason was because my mom was having an affair. My mom didn't tell them otherwise, as my grandpa's health was failing at the time. He still hasn't come out to his mom, and I think they have a lame relationship because of that. I think it hurts my grandma that he isn't more open with her. He now believes he has Sylvia Brown--like powers and has "come out" to his father,. I think he will wait until she passes away too before attempting to have a close relationship. To me it's sad. I think they would both be better off if he had the courage to tell her. Is it my place to do that for him? Over the last few weeks I've been livid, it just kind of hit me how blatantly evil his behavior has been in his past. My mom's well over it, but I feel like my grandma deserves to know she's innocent.

Some people say they have a "personal relationship with God", but they don't display it. Christianity isn't just about "speaking" it, it's about completely living it too. A lot of folks just don't do that.
What's your opinion?
(and before anyone says it, I am NOT judging. I'm stating a fact)

For our annual Christmas Party, we will be playing a variation on the game "Family Feud." As you may know, this game requires people to guess at that the results of various public survey's. We thought it might be a good idea to post some of those survey questions here, and see what kind of results we get. So please feel free to respond with a single answer choice; all earnest answers are greatly appreciated.

Today's question is "What is your favorite classic, animated Christmas Special (please pick only one)?" Examples might be Frosty, Rudolph, Peanuts, etc. Thanks!

Ive read all of Brian Weiss's books and the stories truly amaze me!! Ive been trying to get into the trance state but it hasnt happened yet, but I know it will! Ive only done it 2 times and Im not used to meditating. It would be soo helpful for me because I feel like I have a LOT of much uneeded anxiety issues and other things Im dealing with and I want nothing more than to find out where they came from so I discover the root of the problem so I can function in day to day life so much better. I want to live my potential but feel this has held me back and cannot wait to do it. Anyways let me know what youve heard about it!

If I pray hard with my purest intentions, and desire hard, and everyday, and keep the wish alive in my heart, and make sure my actions match my intentions (to the best of my ability), will what I pray for, come to me eventually?

Do Bible Bashers believe light comes from somewhere else other than the sun?
Order of creation:
Day 1: Sky, Earth, light
Day 2: Water, both in ocean basins and above the sky
Day 3: Plants
Day 4: Sun, Moon, stars (as calendrical and navigational aids)
Day 5: Sea monsters (whales), fish, birds, land animals, creepy-crawlies (reptiles, insects, etc.)
Day 6: Humans (apparently both sexes at the same time)
Day 7: Nothing

I cannot seem to get a job. Every job I've applied for (and I have applied for MANY!) has rejected me. I graduated from college almost 7 months ago, and I'm still out of work. I pray everyday, asking God to open the door for me, but it remains locked.
So, have u ever gotten mad with God because your prayers seem to go unanswered? Is this right or wrong? Thank you!!

The Invisible Pink Unicorn's rules aren't that hard to follow. Do you think that following her is THAT horrible? Christians would make great IPUtheists. Why not try (at least) to believe in her? Is it the IPU's rules that keep you away or is it a bad experience with her followers that has caused you to not believe?

One more thing, is it the fact that you want to do what you want to do when you want to do it that makes you an Christian? If that is the fact, IPUtheists can do whatever they want to do too. We have free will/choice just like you.

I know you don't believe because you don't see. It takes a very strong person to believe in something they cannot see. If you were to TRY to believe, the Invisible Pink Unicorn would "show" herself to you in your heart .

Do you think there should be a purge of religious town and city names and have them replaced with something secular like "Just Antonio" and "Corpus Delecti"?

The French Revolution removed a lot of religious names (day and month names, I believe).

when it is clear their faith and teachings are not universal? They are scattered and a more or less smorgasbord of beliefs. Doesn't that discount the catholic moniker? To me there is only one real Catholic Church and it does include the Churches that claim allegiance to the Bishop of Rome..

i was sitting and thinking. thinking and sitting and was curious where did last names stem from and why. or even middle names for that matter. I was wondering because of Jesus H. Christ. What was his middle name? You hear stuff like King James, Adam and Eve, Moses but never a middle or last name. When did we start using these and why?
