i'm most sorry for not living in the moment.people always look at life like its a destination that in everything they do they could always do it right when they get 'there' or 'when the time comes'...
truth is, there is no there.if i lived life for the moment ,experience raw emotion of excitement,fear,anger,relief, joy, happy-ness,closeness,belonging...peace, then at that moment,therein would true living exist.not the manufactured glee or euphoria gained through plans and arrangements but truly being present to whats around you and what you feel inside..
.....i also regret not taking my own advice.

When I was in my final year of high school, I had a real crush on one of my science teachers, who I thought was very pretty. It was her first teaching job, and there were only about five years age difference between us. Science was my best subject, and I would help her out with some of the junior classes. She got to asking me what I did at the weekend, what my interests were etc (all very innocent). I was a keen middle distance runner, and sometimes she even came to watch me train after school. Then one day, she said we should keep in touch after I left school. I guess you could say that was a pretty open invitation for her to be my girlfriend.
Then I made a stupid, stupid salacious remark. She whapped me one, and said something like: "I thought you were a bigger man than that, Andrew!" Then she walked off with a tear in her eye. I wasn't mature enough to know that I had to apologise, and fast.
She never spoke to me again.

I let my mother force me into studying what she wanted me to instead of going for what I wanted. I regret it and I'll regret it for the rest of my life.

I wasn't there to say good-bye to my Grandmother. I'll never forgive myself or stop regretting that.

That I didn't skip high school & go straight on to college. 4 years of absolute hell for nothing.
