It is a wonderful feeling. The Bible says that His grace is sufficient for us. Grace means: unmerited divine assistance. So even when we go our own way, God is always there waiting on us to come back to Him. And, He is always there for whatever problems we have.
The Bible also says like 25 times, that he is our Savior. If somebody is coming to save you, they are not going to drop you back in the water and let you drown. That is another example of how Christ never gives up on us. I hope you have trusted him as your Savior. (John 3:16)
