Is there any way to calm a kid down and reassure him not all Muslims blow planes up? My sister said he freaked out just going to pick up a friend because he saw some women dressed in their Muslim wear. Our family reunion is next month, and he has to fly to get there. What can we do to help him? He is 7.

Have we found a MISSING LINK yet? I know that there was one but it tuned out the be a FRAUD. Is there any hard indisputable PHYSICAL EVIDENCE linking us and monkeys to a common ancestor?

(SEE PEOPLE, I did learn, I did say linking us and monkeys to a COMMON ANSCESTOR, not that we came from MONKEYS!)

Do you realize what kinds of things went on during colonial American times? Did you know that it was widely acceptable for men to have mistresses, but if his wife commited adultery, she could be flogged? Did you know that premarital sex and extramarital sex was common? Did you know that is was common for women to get remarried as early as a week after her husband died? Did you know that it was ok to burn/drown someone because you thought they are a witch? Did you know that it was acceptable for white people to own slaves? Did you know that prostitutes were relatively common?

Were does the misconception that we are somehow worse than previous generations come from?

I have a bit of a problem. There is a guy that I work with (non Muslim) and he knows I'm engaged but he's kinda too friendly. It's making me really uncomfortable. Sometimes I deliberately talk to him about my fiance just so he knows I'm not interested in any other guy but still, he sends me text msgs and stuff. I respect everyone and I like to have a friendly chat but there is NO WAY I am interested in any other guy. Allah knows what's in my heart, that the only person I'm interested in is my fiance and I wouldn't commit adultery. But I am still fearful that I am sinning btalking to this guy and replying to his msgs. I mean NOTHING MORE than friendship, I don't like the way he is becoming too friendly. To be honest it sickens me! I want to spend the rest of my living days with my fiance InshaAllah, not any other guy. What can I do? How can I politely tell him to BACK OFF?!
I fear that I am commiting a sin in the eyes of God, please give me some advice! Thankyou.

If God is all-knowing and omnipotent, why would he instruct Adam & Eve to not eat of the Tree of the Fruit of Life, if He (or She) knew they would eat anyway (thus creating sin). It seems a bit of a contradiction to me. If God had the power to keep sin out of the world, why would he offer it up for the taking?

Isn't that sort of punishment along the lines of communism? Sure doesn't sound like an all loving god to me.

Glad I'm an atheist and don't have to wrestle with constant biblical questions like this every day!

do you people realize that there is situation ex: when person being seriously ill was healed. not by physical doctos, no even by todays medicine. but by simple prayer. And i'm not saying you should or shouldn't start doing it. i'm just giving you a fact, that hoping on self, or friends, families doesn't help.

whenever i speak with americans, they allways put on such a false accent. its like...erm...trans-atlantian, almost like they are trying to mimic my British (cheshire) accent, but failing horridly...

AND! they allways go on to me about how lovely the US is and how much cheaper everything is over there...but they are living in the UK? madness! me thinks so...

i might just be meeting shitty americans, who r in the UK cos they were rejected from the states lol -- any light on this matter?

Picture this;
A married couple, husband & wife. He is against homosexuality yet is not judgemental. She claims to be "bi-sexual" and has since their marriage she has been with 4 females, with out him being present, or approving of the females she brings home. (he said, if they were 'my kind of girl' & if I could partake, it would be different) She blieves that, he may not be a part of her exrta relationships, claiming she has what they have, and it is him lusting after more mates. Her being with these other females is mearly filling in the 'gaps' that he physicly can't fill.

As asked earlier, do you think this should be a ligitamate loop hole for her, or is this indeed adultry since it is not a shared experience for the both of them.

Should the guy leave her, make her end her bi-sexual ways or else, or accept his life and deal with it?

My husband and I have been living on his father and stepmother's property next door to them for a little over two years now. We're saving up money to buy some land or start renting a place of our own. He lived here before so they didn't seem to mind it until about three months after I moved in. She started acting strange. She went from really friendly to really stiff around me. I don't know what I did and didn't want to make it worse so I stopped going over to their house. I stopped talking to them because I didn't want to be an annoyance so I just stayed out of their way for a year or so. It never seemed to bother them until about three months ago when I got a letter from her. She went on and on about how awful I am as a person, how stiff and cold I am. She said I act like I am above her. I was just trying to stay out of their way. No matter what I do she has a problem with it. I'd move away but this isn't financially possible at the moment. What should I do or say to her?
