What are trolls?? I keep seeing people leaving messages about the trolls on Y!A what's up with that? Just curious thank you.

Serious question - Since you believe there is no continuance after you die, what is your purpose for living? Again, I'm asking a serious question...what is the point to your life? I've heard rememberance, people remember you when your gone, but as we all know within 50 years of your death the chances of someone still alive that has pasted on your memory is nil.

So my question again is, please tell me what purpose your life serves and/or what is reason for existing? I'm very curious about the answers, so please, try to answer as best as possible.

I am the boy who never finished high school, because I got called a fag everyday

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.

I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.

I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.

We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.

I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.

I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.

I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.

some are even talking about how it should be o.k. to have the state interfere with a couples childbearing ability here in the United States. Not in China but, right here!! What do you think of that?

most people don't know in advance the exact time they're actually going to die, and many people aren't in a condition in which they can comprehend that they're about to die.

i understand the sin all you want, god will forgive if you repent, but i'm sure a huge majority of christians didn't get their last repent in before death. to cover your butt, you'd have to be repenting immediately after each sin, and even that would imply that you knew what you were doing was wrong and you did it anyway, knowing that you could just repent it all away after, which isn't very christian now, is it.

what's the point? the chances of anyone getting to heaven (if it existed) are so remotely slim and yet you spend your whole life living in fear of not getting there.

atheists don't have these huge issues weighing them down.

p.s. i'm not atheist - or christian

Ok, see I am fifteen years old. I cannot drive yet and summer is here. I feel like there is really nothing to do considering all of my friends live very far away. I go to a small school and the students that go there live far away. So i want to know if you guys know of anything i can do that is fun which will pass the time. For instance like a club or some type of competition that is going on which i can join. Just anything..! Thanks

In the bible In Acts I believe, Jesus' four brothers are mentioned...

Is there any more information about these brothers somewhere else in the Bible? And is the James that is his brother the same James that has book in the bible?

How many of KNEW Jesus had brothers?

Being that these brothers were at least HALF brothers to Jesus, right? Then would they not have shared the similar DNA, and what about the children of these brothers? Was Jesus an uncle? Would that not be important in history? The nieces and nephews of Jesus Christ? Is this information somewhere that can be accessed?

...discussing your god to people who believe in a different god? certainly, there are other belief systems who might find your belief evil and worthy of their god's punishment to hell. how do you argue using pascal's wager then? if they're wrong they go to your hell, but if you're wrong you go to their hell.

Suppse there exists a square with three sides.

S = Set of all polygons.
X = Polygons with 3 sides
Y = Polygons with 4 sides.
X is disjoint Y, both of which are subsets of S.

Such a square is in in set X, as a three sided polygon.
Since a square by definition has four sides, it is in set Y.
Thus, a three sided square is in both set X and set Y.

This is a contradiction. Since X and Y are disjoint, no element can be held in common.

Therefore, the supposition is false. There are no three sided squares.

When I'm out with my friends we love taking pictures of us all together wherever we are at. However, if you're at a really fancy restaurant, is it rude or distracting to other customers to take more than one picture? Do restaurants not like this either?

Some of my friends think its fine to take a bunch in this situation, but one of our friends hates doing this because she thinks its rude.

Due to chemotherapy, I have lost my hair. I shaved what little was left, so I'm completely bald. You loose thirty to fifty percent of your body heat through your head, so wearing something on the head just traps in heat. This overheats me to the point that I feel faint, even in shops. I was talking to Mum and one of her friends and announced that I no longer care what other people think. I'm not wearing hats or head-scarves or wigs. If people don't like the sight of a young-ish (I'm 29) bald woman, they needn't look. Mum saw no problem with it. She said if I'm comfortable, who cares. The friend said that there are times that we should do things simply to make other people comfortable.

Who is right? Mum and I, or the friend?
