This is the second marriage for each of us.

Does that strengthen or weaken the argument since …

we are also born ignorant, illiterate, selfish, nearly blind, unable to speak or comprehend language, ‘handicapped’ and we poop on ourselves?

Does the fact that we are all born illiterate validate the belief that illiterate people are more rational about literature than the literate?

I'm a skeptic, enlighten me.......!
Were they created, or did they actually evolve from dust?
Are they just a figment of a True Human Beings imagination?
Say it isn't so, they can't be real!
Is there any proof that any have survived the flood or the ice age?

I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of Christians on here saying "Because it's the only one that's correct" or "The only one that matters" or so on. Go ahead and waste your time, because that's not what I'm asking. Here's the question:

Many times, I have been asked by Christians whether or not I've actually read the Bible, tried to go to Church and so on. As someone asked here just recently, did I decide against Christianity after honest research, or because of things that had nothing to do with it? And yet, no one asks if they researched Paganism, Hinduism, Voudoun, Shinto, Atheism, Buddhism, Satanism or whatever else before deciding not to follow those beliefs. It's as if Christianity is assumed to be the default religious choice, and if you want to go outside that, you must constantly verify to everyone that yes, you studied it and decided it wasn't right for you. Meanwhile these same people rarely educate themselves on anything else. Why is that?

Evolution is not in the bible. Adam and Eve were not pre-monkeys. Humans according to the bible were made from dirt. Are they talking about the evolution of Adam and Eve's offspring into multicultural identities or what? Are only humans evolving or do animals evolve too(Im asking that because religions are human-centric)? Did God create us humans first or was it micro-organisms that evolved into animals and than to us?

I am friends with my past Spiritual / Metaphysics Teacher, asked her some guidance questions and as always she does not reply because she wants me to find the answers because she knows that I can in time. But right now especially after a day like I had and it hasn't gotten better since being home. I need to get back on my path to be complete, to be able to handle these kind of days and just be able to breath. I am on the white side of magic and studies. Thank you.

Mine was my first job. I worked at McDonalds, I had the worst 9 months of my life there. Really! they used to put me in the grill or fries all the time, my hands burned all time, my skin changed, started to have more oily skin and lots of pimples, lost the sence of fashion and was I irritated all the time. It also interfered with school, I had no friends and would spend all time angry thinking that I had to go back to that place. I didn't quit because I was affraid that it might seem bad in my work records if I quit a job very quickly, until June 15, 2006 when I finally gave my 2 weeks notice and June 30th was my last day. That day was soooo happy :] Well, now I have changed and my life is back to normal. After Micky D. I have had three jobs, including Hollister Co. and Banana Republic and the job I have right now at a car dealership with my family. I started there right after McDonalds and I quit my 2 retail jobs weeks after starting to keep my actual job. hehe...

While riding onthetrains and busses and often just walking down the street, the stares because of my hijab (head scarf) refuse to stop. I don't mind the stares I just want to know the meaing behind them. I live in NY, the city that is supposed to have the mst number of mixted cultures. I was just wondering where the tolerance and understanding has gone.

On this site while browsing questions, a person called "WhiteMaster" decided to spam the religion section with a whole bunch of, excuse my language..****..against Islam and the Quran.

I would love for someone to explain the stares and the hatred.

(I'd like both Christian/non-Christian answers, please.)

The statement:

Christians profess God, but serve Caesar.

I heard someone say this yesterday and after really thinking about it, I thought it is so true. He admitted that he does the same and I had to admit that I do the same. I claim God all day long, but yet I still trust in money, jobs, education and so on. Is the guy that said this saying that money, jobs, education, etc., are wrong? No, they are essential to everyday living, but when Christians put their ultimate trust and desire in those things, they are not giving God the trust He wants or the knowledge that He has complete control over our lives.

So...do you think it's true? If you do, please expound on how you think it's true. Also, examine yourself and see if you believe it's true in your own life. If you think so, you can say so. You don't have to, just wondering.

I'm just wondering how you arrived at your beliefs; if something turned you off of Christianity after honest research or if you just kind of had preconceived notions because of people doing horrible things in the name of Christianity, or if it had nothing to do with Christianity...

ok, i'm reading the bible which started off quite entertaining. the garden of eden, noah's ark, joseph and his amazing technicolor dreamcoat, good stories. but after that it's all killing people, burning their towns and taking their land. is this going to go on for much longer? i'd really like to finish it but it's getting a tad tedious. i'm up to the beginning of 'judges'. am i anywhere near any good bits? should i skip a few books?

I;m bisexual, but most of my friends don't know this. There's a girl at my school who is older than my friends and I, but she's friends with my two of my friends. This girl is really cool and I just love her, kind of a crush, but more like someone I look up to (what with her being older and 'cooler' than me). I was kidding around with my friends (seperatley) about this girl and I was like 'If I was a guy, I'd date her. If I was gay, I'd date her', but I said this stuff online so I don't know thier reaction. I was kidding. From my point of veiw, it's not strange, it's just a joke, but i want to know, for those of you who are straight, what would you think? Would you take it was a joke or what?
