Jews/ Christians....answer this........................
In Genesis 1 we are told God created light and seperated it from the darkness. This happening on the first day.
He doesn't bother creating the sun or the stars until the fourth day. He created plant life on the third day by the way. Isn't the sun light needed for photosynthesis?

The question obviously is what was the source of light if the sun wasn't created untill the fourth day?

Let's see you explain this one.

Most answers were God was the source of the light. If God was the source of the light why did He need to create light.

If He created light on the first day, what was God doing before just floating around in utter darkness......sounds like one of the descriptions of hell found in the New Testament.

I almost passed up the chance to go on a ZIPLINE treck in Hawaii over the rain forest. I was so scared but did it anyway and had the time of my life. :)

Job obviously was the patsy of mind games between God and Satan. Here is a good man, who worships God, and yet he is tried, severely. I understand this is an object lesson, but if accepted on its face as true, this is not a nice thing that God did to Job. I would be interested in comments to the contrary. I must say, though, that it seems to me that Satan played God (manipulated Him). So my question is, why did God allow Satan to play him? I know you don't know (how could you?) but I am interested in your thoughts on the matter. Thank you.

That drawing was basically all they showed me in Biology class to "prove" evolution. My teacher was always talking about how the Bible was wrong and there was no God, so I got a piece of paper and wrote "proof of evolution" and I started with a picture of the moon and within four pages transformed it into a man. It was funny. I think I got a B- in the class. Do you like red gatorade?

If, let's just say, Islam was the prominent and most openly recieved religion in the United States and Christianity happened to be the dominating force in the Middle East, and a small percentage (minute percentage, to be exact) of Middle Easterners who happened to "claim" to follow Christianity implimented and carried out an attack upon the United States, and the media placed blame on all Christians, how would you, as an honest and loving, loyal in your faith Christian feel about the attacks on your group of people and furthermore, how would you feel if you found out that people were spreading hateful deciet and harsh, explicit and incorrect propoganda about your beliefs across the internet? What would you do to correct the situation? What would you think about what people were saying about you? How would you respond? Would you blame them for being prejudice against you despite the fact that they knew nothing about you?

It says thou shalt not kill. All fancy with shalt whatever that means. Anyways it says I can't kill. Does that only mean human beings with souls or does it mean other creatures too. In so it means we can't kill bugging pest, we can't kill viruses or bacterias. Sure it sounds extreme, but if you really respect life. You can't go killing diseases, or parasites. Who is to a cat's life is more important than bacteria or whatever if it's a living organism. I mean I am guilty for killing many bugs in my days.

This question spans the religious spectrum for all faiths that believe in after life and consequences for bad deeds in said afterlife.

If you were raised in a society to believe that one specific thing was okay or a set of moral codes was correct and then later in life discovered that it was not, how would you handle this.

The best possible illistration I can come up with is cannibalism, in *some* societies this is deemed acceptable and sometimes even sacrificial while in other societies this is deemed unacceptable and wrong.

I think that if this type of thing happened to me, it would challenge everything I'd ever thought was true. I think it would turn my whole world upside down and I would have to start from scratch again.

How is one to choose the right path when they are faced with two equally strong and equally supported yet opposing sides?
Thoughts?

Instead of constantly debating the Evolution issue why don’t you see the evidence for yourself?

The American Museum Natural History has an entire floor showing and describing the evolutionary process of vertebrates, from the first fish with backbones to modern day mammals and everything in between.

I personally went myself last week and I was impressed. I might go back soon just because there is so much information.
