It says thou shalt not kill. All fancy with shalt whatever that means. Anyways it says I can't kill. Does that only mean human beings with souls or does it mean other creatures too. In so it means we can't kill bugging pest, we can't kill viruses or bacterias. Sure it sounds extreme, but if you really respect life. You can't go killing diseases, or parasites. Who is to a cat's life is more important than bacteria or whatever if it's a living organism. I mean I am guilty for killing many bugs in my days.

We are talking about people - not bugs, animals, plants.

2302 By recalling the commandment, "You shall not kill," our Lord asked for peace of heart and denounced murderous anger and hatred as immoral.

Anger is a desire for revenge. "To desire vengeance in order to do evil to someone who should be punished is illicit," but it is praiseworthy to impose restitution "to correct vices and maintain justice." If anger reaches the point of a deliberate desire to kill or seriously wound a neighbor, it is gravely against charity; it is a mortal sin. The Lord says, "Everyone who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment."

Cheers :-)

Killing is part of life. Predatory animals kill to survive. There's nothing wrong with that. It even serves the prey, because without predators, the prey population goes out of control then starves because there's too many of that species that have to eat. We kill diseases because if we don't, we die. Most vicious bugs, at least here, aren't even native to the region (fire ants specifically come to mind). We are the predators that need to keep their population in check, because they have no natural predators here.

Point being: Killing and death are key to the way nature runs.

The correct commandment is "thou shall not murder". Murder is intentional and premeditated. Killing as in self defense or in time of war is not murder.

actaully it says
\do not murder

that is quite different from do not kill.

murder indicates a person, first of all, second it is not in self-defenze or in war,
third it involves will and premediation.

those things are elements of a legal system, means only 3rd party can judge whether a death was defensive or murder or simply an accident.

Bugs animals *for food not sport* and self defense are all permitted.

Sorry, Tebone0315, I disagree, war is premeditated, therefore it is murder. No one should be killed because of their beliefs or opinions, you can't justify war.
