to do something - then did it anyway and were so glad you did? What was it? Disgusting answers are not acceptable!

I almost passed up the chance to go on a ZIPLINE treck in Hawaii over the rain forest. I was so scared but did it anyway and had the time of my life. :)

Oh, yes. I'm a cancer survivor who has seen three relapses of Hodgkin's Disease Lymphoma in five years. After the third relapse, my oncologist suggested that I undergo a clinical trial that was being done at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. It invovled undergoing a "mini" bone marrow transplant using a mismatched donor, and the proceedure itself had a 25% chance of killing me. That's one out of four, to give it some perspective. But it also had the best chance of curing me. Figuring that I'm dead either way if it didn't work, I went for it.

I'm still here. I've had lots of graft-verses-host problems, but I'm just past one year into my remission. Now my wife and I are expecting a child (by way of in vitro fertilization). So yeah, I'm glad I went through with it!

As a teen I had a dirt bike (motorcycle) and there were several of us in my Grampa's back pasture and one of the guys suggested jumping the pond.....there was a hill which formed a natural ramp....The first 2 guys jumped and landed in the pond, so I was even more nervous, plus at the time I was not a strong swimmer and 3 weeks before had broken 3 toes in a wreck, soooo I could not pass up the challenge and I jumped....I was the only one to make it.....probably because I was the littlest one and had more air time than the others......I had bragging rights over the guys for quite awhile...BTW it was a small pond....That was fun!
Peace be with you.

I had severe panic disorder 10 years ago. With therapy and other help, I had been very scared to go over a bridge to my parents' house. When I did it, it was a great experience. Another time, I was so afraid to go to my wife's church (it was all black and I'm white -- I was the only white person there). But instead of staying in the car, I went and felt great.

I moved to the mountains straight out of highschool by myself, to work in a national park where I would know nobody and live with a roomate who could be from anywhere....but I did it, and I am glad I did- there were things I wish I could of changed but I am glad I went because the Lord drew me closer to Him after that entire experience.

I was really afraid to go on a roller coaster when I was younger. I was shaking the entire time I was in line and almost got out of line a few times. After I went on it though I was so happy I did it and was ready to do it again!

Hugs

I'm really afraid of heights. I decided to get on an airplane and not be on the airplane when it landed. I was in free fall for about 60 seconds before the parachute opened up.

Yeah, despite my phobia about airplanes I got on them anyways and traveled to Iceland a few months ago. I had the time of my life. Definitely want to travel again.
