Chimps are nevertheless evolving, like quite a few animals. It basically occurs more beneficial slowly than one lifetime. We did not evolve from Chimps, yet chimps and people percentage ancestors from 10 million years in the past. We both developed from them.

Chimps, apes and humans evolved from a common ancestor-like Chihuahua's and Great Danes evolved from a common ancestor.
If we know-nobody even questions it-that Jesus would have been from middle eastern/Jewish descent, why the famous assumption in most artwork that he's a long-haired, hippie-looking Caucasian?

The Theory of Evolution says that we have a common ancestor with other primates; it never made the claim that we come from chimps. I do like red gatorade.

Like the others have said, we did not evolve from chimps, we share a common ancestor. And if your teacher did say those things (which I highly doubt) then he/she was in the wrong for teachers have no right to discuss god and say certain beliefs are flat out wrong.

Dude, a cartoon doesn't prove evolution. That drawing was based on evidence, on fossils. Both humans and modern apes and chimps came from a common ancestor that didn't look a whole lot like either of them. We didn't come directly from chimps or apes - we're just related, like you're related to your cousin but didn't come from him.

We did not evolve from chimps, but from a common ancestor.
The picture is drawn in such a way as to make it easier for people to visualize and comprehend what is meant by "gradual degrees".

We didn't evolve from chimps, and no one is suggesting that we did. And of course we evolved from apes. Technically humans are apes, so anyone with human parents is descended from apes.

Um, because it's a drawing of an artist's idea of evolution? It's not a photograph and I doubt a scientist drew it.
