I'm probably gonna get roasted for this but this article might help you understand it better.

Yes, all creatures excluding fish and those that live in the sea. Remember that most dinosaurs were small creatures. Even the large ones were once babies. I'm sure young animals were taken. As for bacteria, most live on creatures so I'm sure they were also along for the ride. Same for insects. What I wonder about are plants. Did Noah also bring some of those or did they just grow from seeds left in the ground before the flood occurred? I also think that after the flood is when we see the ice age occur. With all the water the was released from the atmosphere climate change was certainly eminent.
I like that God did not answer every question. He gives us room to think and inquire.

There were probably less species back then.
Edit: No it does not say every creature was created back then. It says every animal was created according to its kind. Obviously we do not have the same taxonomy as they did back in the Bible and we don't know what that includes. But it is very possible God created animals with the ability to have diverse offspring in the event of sin to help preserve life on earth. This would mean that a horse, donkey and a zebra could have a common ancestor...the Honkbra. I made the name up, but I'm serious about the other stuff. Life does show us that evolution happens. But I would say it has limits. Obviously it requires a creator. I am not saying God made a bacteria and it evolved. Rather, that God created the different "kinds" to be able to adapt. Seriously, what is the difference between a Bobcat and a Lynx? Or a Jaguar and a Leopard? Not much. Anyways, that is what I meant. Have a nice day.
Holy Cow! I swear I did not read that article from answers in Genesis before I wrote that.

While the basic plans and dimensions were provided by God, some architectural ability must doubtless be attributed to Noah as the human director of works. The ark was 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high 437 ft 6 in. × 72 ft 11 in. × 43 ft 9 in.). It could have had about (2.2 acres) of floor space. The three floors plus the wide roof span probably required, in addition to the ‘compartment’ divisions, the use of some wooden columns and beams to support the weight, as well as to give the structure necessary stability. Although the ark was caulked with tar, there would also be need for careful fitting of the timbers to ensure a reasonably watertight construction.
The ark had a carrying capacity equal to that of 10 freight trains of about 25 American boxcars each!
Could the Ark Have Held All the Animals?
It is true that encyclopedias refer to over a million species of animals. But Noah was instructed to preserve only representatives of every “kind” of land animal and flying creature. Some investigators have said that just 43 “kinds” of mammals, 74 “kinds” of birds, and 10 “kinds” of reptiles could have produced the great variety of species of these creatures that are known today. The ark had about (1,400,000 cu ft) of usable space, ample for the passenger list

The story is allegorical, and, regrettably, the origin of the story is even more incredible than the simplistic biblical version, which, as Taliesin has already pointed out, was lifted from the Sumerian, which was in turn lifted from the Enki myths. Those stories are of how all life on this planet did not necessarily originate here, by the way.
The 'vessel' was loaded with the DNA of every species, before setting out on it's journey. That's impossible, of course, DNA wasn't 'discovered' until a few years ago. But then, most of what we think we 'know' has been 'impossible' at some time, or another.
We have done all of this over and over and over. Trying every option of how every situation can possibly work out, including playing around with genes. We've made some pretty gross errors along the way, and some amazingly wonderful manifestations, all in all, it's been one doozie of a ride.
And the band plays on .......... :-)

well heres what i think about Noah Arc. i dont think it was big enough for every single creature on earth. because you would have to of built a big *** boat. but i do believe that they put every creature they could find on the boat. and science proved that they had alot of flash floods and horrible storms i mean like storms worse then Hurricane Katrina. so i dont think it flooded the whole earth but it flooded the whole area around them then you know the story from there

I don't think there was a Noah's ark. The great floods definitely happened, that story seems to be present in all stories from around the world. The great floods would not have touched higher grounds though, nor would they have hurt any creatures which could swim or fly. Tribes at that time, would have just moved to higher ground. Dinosaurs died out millions of years before the great flood. Hope this helps!

Steven, 3 small errors on your area. a million) it is Ark, not arc. 2) Noah and his 3 sons had a million spouse each and each. 3) it is argued from Gen a million:30 that each and one and all animals vere vegetarian. somewhat, there are a number of many different issues to boot those you have kindly and prepared to ignore. 8 human beings finding after sixteen,000 animals - feeding , washing and removing their poos. No solar. Ark is almost completely enclosed, with basically a small window on its roof (to stay away from rains water and intense waves pouring in), and so on. A YEC (John Woodmorappe) calculated that the median length of those animals is relating to the size of a rat. using this length, he shows that there is adequate area in the Ark. it fairly is extremely sneaky and bothering on cheating (with the aid of fact he's a Ph.D). If I even have 3 animals - a chick, a rat and a horse - median length takes the single in the midst (from small to important) - and so it is the rat. however the area required isn't 3 x length of rat. you are able to desire to apply properly-known and not MEDIAN. using the suggestions he provided, it calculates to a length of a Horse. So, on properly-known, you have sixteen,000 horses on the Ark to feed and sparkling. sixteen,000 piles of horse **** to sparkling.....

Don't listen to the "higher critics" who would tell you based on human "reason" that it couldn't have happened. They don't even bother to do the math. Ph.D. scientists have done a feasiblity study on it & found that it was indeed possible, based on the information given in the Bible, science & math.
Listen to knockout85's answer. God's Word is true. Genesis is God's history book for us--that's why we should take it literally. Here's another link with more articles should more of these type of questions come up: http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/faq/noah.asp

Because of the logical difficulties this story presents, many do not take this story literally. It is a story about one author's view of G-d's reaction to human sin, or deviation from his laws, rather than an historical accounting. If you do take it literally, I don't know how you would explain or account for every creature.

Nope... it's a story, nothing more. It is not historical fact. Christians have bent science to make it true by using the dimensions of the ark to convince themselves that all the animals fit... but it's just not true.
There was no world-wide flood... there may have been many days of rain locally to that area, but not world-wide. And there was no ark.
