Only for those on the Israeli "side"
Looking back, is there anything that the Israelis have done that maybe wasn't exactly the smartest or best idea? In other words, can you admit or acknowledge anything that the Israelis did as being wrong or a mistake? Just one?

Sure
Their were several Jewish terrorist groups that committed terrible crimes. While much of their actions were prevented and condemned more effort should have been made to stop them.
during the Independence war several Israeli para-military groups committed serious war crimes against Arab inhabitants. While those were immediately condemned I wish they would not have happened in the first place.
It was a mistake to allow East Jerusalem to fall to the Jordanians. More of a fight should have been put up to keep the old city.
Putting settlements in Gaza was a mistake from day one. Most of the settlements in the West Bank should not have been
Israel should have never gone into Lebanon. Not in 1980's or last summer. They lost far more then they gained by doing so.

You folks need to study history. "Palestinians" did not exist before 1948. They are a creation of the Arab states.
Yassar Arafat was an Egyptian, was run out of Egypt for trying to overthrow the govt., run out of Jordan for trying to overthrow the govt......this guy was no freedom fighter. If he and the PLO cared so much about the "Palestinian" people, where did all the billions of dollars of aid money go? No schools no businesses, nothing for the people.
The mistakes the Israelis have made, and are making, is not taking and keeping control of the temple mount, giving land for peace (never works, the enemy just wants more land), allowing so much aid money to enter "Palestine" with absolutely no accountability (The USA is guilty of this as well). There are others that do not come to mind right this minute, but a huge problem for Israel (as well as the USA) is that it is a secular state in a war with a group of religious states. The secular state always is at a disadvantage because they tend to want to live and let live, the religious state, especially the Islamic ones, want to conquer and convert or kill.
There can never be peace in the Middle East until Yashua returns and forces peace on them.
Edit: BTW, do you read and study the answers you get or are you jsut out to agitate? You sure posted a lot of questions tonight. Why don't you try posting one and studying it?

Yes. Releasing thousands of Palestian prisoners in return for 1 or 2 Israeli soldiers.

The Israelis had over 50 years to come up with a solution to the Israeli/Palestinian question and still no answer in sight.

One thing you will learn asking questions on Yahoo Answer is that you can not control who will answer your question or what they will say. When you say, "Iraeli 'side' " you are implying that all Iraelis think alike. There are Israelis who are sympathetic to a free Palestine. Let's see if you get an answer that suits your question.

I could list many mistakes made by Israel but they would not be favorable to the Palestinians (which I am assuming is the answers you want)...so I wont list them...and just say Israel has been too kind on far too many occasions.

Yes, they should have never gave back the Temple Mount or the land that they won when the Muslims attacked them. We can learn from this. Never compromise with terrorists.

How about not ILLEGALLY occupying lands? How about stop building settlements on Palestinian lands? How about not enticing Palestinians to hate and then acting as the victim?
