I always sleep in my mom's bedroom, it's my habit since I was 12, because basicly I'm afraid of sleeping alone. When she has a business trip, I stay at home with my brother and I sleep alone.
It's been 3 das that I heard some voices in my mom's bedroom. It always happened when I was laying in my bed in the morning. I heard someone's said "Wake up". I try to not think about it because I thought that it might be just my imagination, although I knew that it was m mom's voice.
And this morning (I live in Europe), I was laying in my bed, this happened like 20 minutes ago, I heard someone said "Wake up, HONEY", and the sound was clear enough for me to prove that it was my mom's voice, but she is thousand miles away fromme now! So I jump from my bed, and told my brother the story.

What should I do? This things freaks me out!!! And just 2 das ago I had a bad nightmare about he. Help!!!!

I truely do not understand people being raciest. Flowers have different colors, fish are different shapes and colors, people are different colors . . . what is the difference ?

In relation to people. . . skin color does not reflect if a person is mean or nice, honest or thief, smart or 'dumb', dear heart or cruel heart.

I'm a 'pasty white' gal, mature mind . . . and I never have and still don't understand why a person is liked or not liked based on the skin color.

Care to share insights ?. . . Open to all thoughts . . . no judgements.

I just want to find out if here is a person who might know why some evil people hate other people so much that they wanna wish them all the bad things. Why should they bother with people that they don't even know.

On Friday, an African American woman and her son (must have been about 8-10 years old) walked up to me while I was in New York city and asked me if I could give them some money for food. The woman looked lost and had tears in her eyes, but the son looks emotionless. I replied, "You should find the police, they should be able to help you out." She replied, "Forget it, we're black." and walked away.

I do feel really bad for not offering to help out, but I've given money to strangers (either that they "lost" their wallets, don't have money for food or even a train ride home, and etc...) that asked me for money in the last 2 years. After I gave those strangers money, I asked them to e-mail me back to let me know they've gotten home safely. You know how many e-mails I've gotten from those strangers? None... Not 1 had the decency to tell me that my money was well spent. So now I've rejected the last two attempts of strangers asking me for money. What would you guys do?

What religion supercedes?

2007-01-21 18:20:31 · 27 answers · asked by zeepogee 3 in Religion & Spirituality

It just pains me sometimes the power that religion has. I myself am catholic, but do not follow the word and question my religion. Does that make me a bad person? I love and respect everyone. Yet I can't even have a cup of coffee with an all-Christian family.

This non-acceptance in today's religious society is what pains me. Follow your god, follow your beliefs, and you will have my utmost respect, but can you respect my beliefs as well? Don't distance yourself from me, call me evil, and tell me angrily that I will go to hell. If that is my choice then it is mine and mine alone. Please respect, not hate. Is that so much to ask for? Is peace too much to ask for? It will never happen I know, but I'm just simply wondering.

This is the only reason why I do not like religion sometimes.

...but can you give any tips for a lady to turn down a guy gently without totally bursting his ego bubble? Ex. if the guy is persistent and she doesn't want to be mean. He's not obnoxious, just a bit of a pest.

I have mixed feelings. I really hope the Apocalypse will not for a very very long time. I have mixed feelings of worry and panic with faith that people will improve our society and environment to make our world last a bit longer, before it gets worse again and Jesus comes. The way things look now it seems as though he'd becoming in 2050, but that seems too obvious. We've had bad eras before where people were so convinced it was the end and things still improved...it's cyclical. Yes some things are really bad today such as affluenza, lack of nuclear families, and sexual immorality but some things have also actually improved and are overlooked. Our society accepts immoral things today that weren't in the past, but there are immoral things that were accepted in the past that aren't today (slavery, domestic abuse, racism, etc.). Also, we are becoming more educated about what we can do to save our planet and in some places things are environmentally improving. So there is a tradeoff and in away our society is equally as moral overall, just about different things.

However…to be modest (which kind of contradicts everything I said) no human should really know when it will happen. Jesus made that very clear that we shouldn’t be arrogant enough think we have an idea of when it will happen. It could happen tomorrow, or it could happen a million years from now. But hopefully before the sun explodes on us lol. So in conclusion, I believe we should find a healthy balance by being positive and faithful without getting arrogantly overconfident and complacent. Hopefully the beauty of our planet will be found in His everlasting kingdom anyway so I shouldn’t have to worry about parting with our world. The reason why I don’t want it to happen when I’m alive is because I want a lifetime to spiritually improve myself so I can be worthy to go to heaven. I’m 20 and have a lot of growing up to do. I think I am a relatively good Christian for my age and all, but I still don’t think I am worthy yet.

Keep in mind he's deaf and 23 years old. I was suppose to pay him the fee yesterday. When I approach to him about not being able to pay for full rent. He simply say "find a way to pay the rent or be out by tomorrow" I beg and talk to him for a bit.

Finally he told me "Do you think I think you're geuinely being nice to me because you consider me as a human? You're only being sweet and nice to me because you wants something from me. However if I or someone less "perfect" was to approach you to try talk to you or ask you out, you would have turned your nose up at them on the spot. So do you really think I want to do a favor for someone who pretty much consider me as a subhuman? How do you think your action make me feel?"

Then he tell me to write a full page on my thought on this and to try come up with as much as I could.

I feel so bad about this. I admit I know he's pretty much right about what he says. I know many people doesn't treat him well unless they want something from him.

I know you possibly couldn't answer this (I'm just PO'd). But this morning when i went for a jog, I had to wait at this intersection with some OC granny and her dog. She took one look at me and said, "Careful kid, Gregory's kinda curious." Now I don't mind her warning me about her dog. But did she have to call me "kid"? I'm 18 going on 19, I'm enrolled at UCLA, I've had sex! But, I'm only 5'3". So I guess she could be forgiven for that. But I believe the 5 o' clock shadow gives it away.

That's my rant, sorry to disturb you guys(and girls). Feel free to answer the question. Keep in mind that my profile picture was taken after I decided to be cheap and go for a "free" haircut. I didn't look like that this morning.

My last two questions began with "why" and re-reading them just makes me think o_O. "How to start off offending people right away"
"The @ss-hole's Guide to Offending everybody everywhere all at once"

I could write books like that. How many people think that asking a "Why" question implies judgment?

When in fact they have more blood on their hands than Osama Bin ladin and Al-Qaeeda?

They are no different than any terrorist organization just that they have legalized their actions with the UN. Moreover, Hitler(who was a Christian) and the Bombing of Hiroshima is a good example of terrorism not to mention the enslavement of Blacks all around the world when it was popular to rape and cut off the feet of runaways.

Is your God called Buddha? I have heard from several people that your religion is the most non judgemental & very peaceful religion there is. I am not very knowledgable in religion but I know the Jewish religion believes there was a man named Jesus Christ but he is not their saviour & I know as a Christian we do, but what is your position on that & what holiday do you celebrate? Thanks
