I have mixed feelings. I really hope the Apocalypse will not for a very very long time. I have mixed feelings of worry and panic with faith that people will improve our society and environment to make our world last a bit longer, before it gets worse again and Jesus comes. The way things look now it seems as though he'd becoming in 2050, but that seems too obvious. We've had bad eras before where people were so convinced it was the end and things still improved...it's cyclical. Yes some things are really bad today such as affluenza, lack of nuclear families, and sexual immorality but some things have also actually improved and are overlooked. Our society accepts immoral things today that weren't in the past, but there are immoral things that were accepted in the past that aren't today (slavery, domestic abuse, racism, etc.). Also, we are becoming more educated about what we can do to save our planet and in some places things are environmentally improving. So there is a tradeoff and in away our society is equally as moral overall, just about different things.

However…to be modest (which kind of contradicts everything I said) no human should really know when it will happen. Jesus made that very clear that we shouldn’t be arrogant enough think we have an idea of when it will happen. It could happen tomorrow, or it could happen a million years from now. But hopefully before the sun explodes on us lol. So in conclusion, I believe we should find a healthy balance by being positive and faithful without getting arrogantly overconfident and complacent. Hopefully the beauty of our planet will be found in His everlasting kingdom anyway so I shouldn’t have to worry about parting with our world. The reason why I don’t want it to happen when I’m alive is because I want a lifetime to spiritually improve myself so I can be worthy to go to heaven. I’m 20 and have a lot of growing up to do. I think I am a relatively good Christian for my age and all, but I still don’t think I am worthy yet.

I hear you, Betty. I like this guy's site:
http://www.markswatson.com

He shares his views on the world, the economy, and spiritual matters. He's a Christian, and while I'm not, in my opinion I believe him to be a very good one.

I'll take that bet, donkey.

There are many misconceptions about what the Apocalypse is. Some would believe that it merely a great time of trouble. The word truly translates as Revealing. It's the time that Jesus Christ shows Himself as God, protecting His sheep, while great troubles occur on earth. Troubles will occur, but when those that aren't His see those that are His being protected, they will come to understand that the Bible has always been 100% accurate.

Get right, or get left.

The tree is old
The wind is strong
The fire is coming

Even environmentally, with all the knowledge at our finger-tips, we know so much, yet feel so helpless to do anything to make it better. There are so many nuclear weapons 10X's more powerful than the ones used at Nagasaki. The writing's on the wall even if you don't believe in the Apocalypse.

We are all restless and unsettled.
I, too, feel unready, at any moment, to face my maker. I was more ready as a teenager. But now, I have many worries and burdens and I feel so overwhelmed and alone, yet the world belongs to me, and I am the ruler of as much of it as I stand on. That's damn little. If only I had real power, but alas, I am weak, and I am but one woman...one very weak woman.

The word "Apocalypse" means "lifting of the veil" The beauty of the word gives me hope.

Many Scholors have ventured into the depths of deciphering the Bible and wanting to look at actual scrolls and tablets from whence it come from, but to no avail.

Believe what you must, but believe this....five years ago a mysterious fog appeared in my bedroom by my wife's dresser. It just hovered there and sowly turned in a circular motion.

There was no fear in me, but I was amazed and glorified at it.
I screamed for my wife to come into the bedroom and she acted as if it was nothing and took her time.
When she arrived at the door it was gone. It was not meant for her to see.

If there is anybody on this Gods Green Earth that has seen anything like what I saw then we have something in common.
Why me and not everybody on earth see it?

That question remains easy to understand that God chose me to see it and I do not question God anymore nor try to understand what is going to happen.

I just know that he truly exhists and has his reasons for everything and even today there are some things on earth I cannot explain, but I do know this. I HAVE NEVER BEEN THE SAME PERSON SINCE.

I put that story on line and it can be reached through mypage 360 look for the story called "The Fog".

A wise old Christian preacher once said to me, Live as though this was the last day, and live as though you still have a hundred years to go. In other words, live for God and prepare to keep serving God, because we don't know how long it will be.
Don't worry about things that are are in God's hands. He'll deal with it. We should just be busy showing His love to everyone we meet.

That it won't happen. The only end for humanity is the end that it makes for itself and not from any outside force.

Christianity has been proclaiming that the END has been nigh for 2000 years, and will continue to insist that it will be "anytime now" for the next 6000. At least.

I like your comment about being positive and faithful - especially if it is to a faith which is one of love, respect, and tolerance.

As a non-Christian I do not believe in the Christian apocalypse.
