No.

Matisyahu is most definitely NOT Hasidic. He is either Reform or Conservative. Most likely Reform.

Hasidic Jews are a branch of Orthodox Jews. Orthodox Jews believe that the Torah is the word of God and should be followed to the letter. I'm no expert on Hasidim, but they seem to be a sort of Amish in the US for Judaism.

The "Chareidim" are much stricter than ordinary Orthodox Jews....

The "Chareidim" are the same as Ultra-Orthodox Jews....

I don't know, I am not a fan of the music of Matisyahu, but I like his Jewishness though...

The Chassidim are Orthodox, but not all Orthodox are Chassidic.

Matisyahu is a member of the Lubuvich-Chabbad, and therefore Chassidic.

I think from my view same thing. I lived for a short time with orthodox Jews. The girls would stare at me like crazy it was very weird. I think it was because i was like the only none Jew there with 'normal' clothes. I felt like I went to mars.

no, they are not the same thing. chassidism is a sect of orthodoxy. according to wikipedia, matisyahu is a member of chabad-lubavitch, so yes.

still not sure how you can claim to be a "messianic jew" while knowing nothing about basic judaism.
