THE MAJORITY IS RULED BY THE MINORITY –
DEMOCRACY IN ACTION NOT.
IF YOU INTEND TO GO TO THE BIG DAY OUT
READ AND PUT INTO ACTION -
Is Australia Day for Australians or is it for the very small percentage of the minority of our community. The audacity of the organisers of the Great Day Out should hold their heads in shame. How can you have an Australian Day event and ban Australian Flags. I as an Australian am deeply offended by the ban.
If we have people that live in our country that are offended by the flag of the nation that allowed them to migrate to this great land, then I would strongly suggest that they find an alternative nation to live in or maybe go back to their OWN country.
So what I have seen so is local traditions like Christmas Carols in Primary Schools are banned, Flags on Bondi Beach Banned, what’s next ANZAC Day?
I think political correctness is doing more damage then good – it’s dividing – not uniting. When a small percentage of the minority can dictate to the majority then there is something seriously wrong within our society. When our national flag is classified by concert organisers as “GANG COLOURS”, then we have major issues in our national pride. If an organiser in America tried this, do you think Americans would accept a ban on their flag….
I think NOT.
Should we ban our flag all together? Ban it from public view, so not to offend a very small percentage of the minority. I always assumed in a democracy that the majority has the say. We seem to work in reverse; we cater to the minority and allow them to dictate to us, we allow traditions, cultures and our way of life to be lost by force of political correction.
I suggest our government take a serious look at who runs this country, the Majority, or Minority. Every Australian household should fly the flag on Australia Day, be they 5th Generation Australian or a new immigrant that have just arrived.
And if you intend going to the event “BIG DAY OUT” be decked out in full Australian clobber – T-shirts in Australian flags, Hats and Caps, Thongs and to top it of two flags per person, show these organisers that they have no right to ban our national flag. So on the day, stand proud, stand tall. Take your flags to show community unity.
Don’t let our National pride be deleted by over sensitive Political Correct organisers.
So since this organiser believes the Australian flag is “GANG COLOURS” Lets show them unity of a gang that is proud and honoured to wear and fly the flag that thousands of Australians died under in wars of past and present.
BE PROUD, BE STRONG, BE AUSTRALIAN.
“This document was written by an average Australian that is sick and tired of Australia being lost to the minority”

The Flags Act in 1953 determined that the blue ensign would be the Australian National Flag and an amendment in 1998 means that it can only be changed by a referendum. Advance Australia Fair became the National Anthem in 1984. Before that it was God Save the Queen. Australia will become a republic at some time in the future, probably after Queen Elizabeth dies. King George VII and Queen Camilla might not be to the majority's taste. When the republic is declared it would be good to look again at the flag and the anthem to see if they are appropriate for the time. If they are, they will remain. If Australians generally want to change them, they will change. It is not a question of being "eager" for change but of being practical. Thinking about changing either the flag or the anthem shows no "disrespect" for either and no "disrespect" for Australia.

I'm an Aussie and yes..it's a bit too far..
the thing we don't want to see of course is a bunch of drunken yobbos running down Cronulla and bashing up people..not to say that the middle eastern dudes didn't get back or incite them..i'm not taking sides on that 1..
so anyways..We do not want to see drunks running around with big Aussie flags and starting a little riot!
Basically I feel that small flags should be alright and I think that crowd control could take care of anything that came up or coppers coming in..
So that's my point as long as it was, simply put we do not want to see any incitement of any sort and personally I wouldn't be bringing flags to any concert, just get dancing with my feet and shouting my head off.. Oh and I see the impact of the government doing that..the Aussies are going to get offended and it will only bring out some sort of negative response..

I thought I'd read that the Australian's flag has already been modified. Oh well. I know that your Country's flag wasn't the first "thing" to be the subject of Racism. The Confederate flag in the US is considered "offensive", I love the appearance of the Union Jack flag, and it never crossed my mind that it stood for hatred of some kind.
Other changes...At my H.S. we had a Pirate/Scull & Cross Bones. It use to have a Knife in the Pirates mouth. They removed the Knife. Allegedly promoted violence.
I suppose these things can be educatedly debated. Proven? I doubt it. There will always be something to complain about.

I think it's political correctness gone too far. What will be the point in having inter country competitions like the world cup foot ball or the Olympics if no one is allowed to wave a flag or cheer for their team. Who starts all these stupid ideas? usually it's some jobsworth trying to hang on to his or her Quango job, and not even brought to light by the people it was meant to originally help.

I am not Australian, but I would not be happy. I am proud of my country and would not want to be told not to carry my flag. I see that it isn't just here that "politically correct" people are trying to tell people what to do and not do. Good Luck.

I think if we'd like to learn from past mistake, it will be 'fine' if the participant dont bring any nationality materials.
We have to look at the safety too...
Dont be naive.. Ur feeling towards ur country will bring such an accident just like when it occured last year.
So for me. . It's ok

Yes, these are strange times we are living in. When will white people realize that multiculturalism and diversity are lies? Hopefully they will learn before it is too late.
