I was reading Frank Zappa's book. then came up with this and don't know what it means,I'll cite the whole paragraph:
"The family was from Arkansas. The Dad (Dink) was a furniture salesman in San Bernardino,
but, back in the way-back-when, he used to play 'bones' or 'spoons' in a minstrel show. To relive the
golden days of yesteryear he would, from time to time, force his children to accompany him (Ronnie
on guitar, Kenny on trombone) in a living room replay of a minstrel routine called "Lazy Bones."
The kids often found this to be an inconvenience, as they were fascinated by, and constantly
perfecting new techniques for, The Manly Art Of Fart-Burning."

I am a white american girl who was racially and culturally (verbally) abused by several people from the Korean and Chinese cultures for six and a half years of my early adulthood for being white, although being raised very culturally and racially accepting (this is why the abuse confused me and hurt me a great deal), and I'm just wondering how I can stop being angry and move on with my life. The things that were always said to me or the actions that were always done to me were away from someone of my own culture, so when I'd go to talk to someone from my culture, they had no idea that this obnoxious abuse was occuring, and they didn't know what to really say about it. It's been very hard for me to relate with these cultures, because I saw too much and had too much happen to me that I almost feel like I'm not part of my own culture anymore (the acceptance of other cultures), because I'll try to tell someone what really happens or can happen, and I'll sound wierd or censor things.

The bible tells the time between Abraham getting the Promised Land covenant, and the heirs being there.
The bible tells the time between Exodus of Moses and Samuel, and death of Moses until
the temple is begun.
To me it does add understanding and the time that I search for and need, any one else?

Let me explain.

Most of the supposedly "Christian" bashers come in here, use Romans and Leviticus as their supposed "proof" that being gay is against G-d, but they only use scripture that pertains to Paul.
Never once do they show love, compassion, tolerance, charity, inclussion. They simply preach about hate, sin, damnation, hell, all that nasty and quite frankly WACKO stuff.

Why don't they get it? Why do they call themselves christians when they don't seem to posses even one "Christlike" attribute?

Are American women so arrogant as to think that every man will find tatoos attractive? Surely a woman must understand that it is more likely that a tatoo will reduce the number of men interested in her.

Personally, speaking for myself, when I put a girl on my bed on her hands and knees I don't want to see some grafetti that some freak put there before I came along.

It started when I was a kid, I just started having these awful fantasies about this virgin woman my catholic mother used to tell me about. One day I found out she was supposedly the mother of jesus and it really messed me up. My room is filled with posters and statues of her, in one she is even breast feeding a baby. I feel really bad about this, somebody please help! I'm too ashamed to go to anybody else...

...their approaches to women. I've heard things about guys being more aggresive or following a ritual (courting or flirting), I've heard about some guys who want women to make the first move sometimes. Can any of you who have traveled to or are from other countries tell me what what the interaction between the sexes is like in other places? Ex. How would guys treat a twenty-something year-old in say: Italy, Japan, Spain, Europe, etc.

i have this friend, seriously, it's not me. anyway, he's always obsessing over girls, but most everyone that meets him, especially, girls and gay guys, ask him if he's gay to his face or ask me when he isn't around. one gay guy said he's gay he just doesn't know it. also he has had a girlfriend or two and they did have sex and all that. what do you think?

Can we not look at the various religious texts and determine that it talks of people of faith being put to death because of their faith ( be they jew, muslim or christian) It does not say you must kill for your faith and the books all agree thou shalt not kill so why do people believe that martyrdom is equal to killing others. Suicide is no the way into paradise..... is it?

Someone once said to me "there is no such thing as an accident". I've pondered on this for several years and have finally concluded that they might be right.
Can anyone give me an example of something that is purely accidental and could, in no way, have been avoided?
