I think Jesus said in the New Testament, maybe it was Paul, "Greater love has no man than this, then that he lay down his life for his friend."
A suicide bomber is a person who has seen his friends and family subjegated, harmed, sometimes raped, often going hungry. He feels if he makes those actions costly enough for the people doing them, they will not do them anymore. So he lays down his life for his friends, while at the same time making the opressor know that their are consequences for oppression. Because he willingly lays down his life in the cause of freedom, he is a martyr.
Think of it this way. We all agree that a Christian person who runs into a random mall and shoots five people, then himself would not be a martyr, but a murderer. But imagine there are 500 Christian people smooshed into a little alley, and an evil persecutor iwho hates Christians s going to run them over with a steam roller.
One of the Christians happens to have a small bomb, but it can only go off if he presses the button, and only do enough damage to stop the machine if it is very close to it. SO he perpsely runs up to the machine and presses the button, killing himslef and stopping the machine. Is he a martyr? Sure. He died for his beliefs, and to save others from persecution.
Now understand that on every Israeli bus every single person is a soldier or a reservist. The country drafts everyone from 16 and up. (The first two years are not active or training, one can just not leave the country.) Everyone is a soldier. If you are an opressed Palestinian, are you a martyr for getting rid of 18 soldiers? How many lives does 18 fewer machine guns in the West BAnk save?
Here's a more interesting question, if such bombings bring an end to the conflict (and they can and do, see for example the retreat from Gaza) how many ISRAELI lives are saved by stopping their government from sending little boys and girls into battle year after year after year.

Right, suicide is not being martyrdom especially when you kill others. It is pure murder! When a person knows of the Christ Lord, and defend their faith against anyone who comdenm Christianity, the person is martydomnized (if I can use the word) for their life.
Martydomism comes in different faith as well. Such as Mother Theresa who's mission was driven for those living in the third world. Martin Luther King, who spoke honestly of coming together as one.
It is easy for a person to put to death because of their faith. It is different to be put to death because of the Love of Christ, Lord God and the Holy Ghost that is the true martydomism.

The be conscious "martyr" is Greek for "witness". (See Acts a million:8 for context.) lower back then, being a martyr meant telling somebody of your faith. It meant no extra suitable than that. So, if a individual desires to tell the international of his ideals, he might grab the international's interest by way of killing himself. which will certainly make a assertion. while he does as a thank you to sell his faith, he in basic terms "witnessed"; subsequently, he's a "martyr." He may be a foul witness, yet he's a witness. The definition has replaced in modern centuries, contained in the West besides. Our modern definition, contains "dying on the palms of others." by way of this definition, you're very staggering. Killing oneself isn't martyrdom. everybody is the two short-sighted, or utilising the previous definition of martyr.

Martyrdom in Christianity was never about killing others .... it was about sacrificing their life for the truth. They never did kill people people killed them . About the Muslims i have nothing to say. they kill people for no reason so many innocent lives are lost, you cannot force anyone to be what you want them to be.

A Christian martyr is one that dies as a DIRECT result of what he/she believes...
The take as many as I can with me idea..is just plain murder!
There have been around 100,000,000 (some estimates place it as high as 1.5 mil) "true" christian martyrs to date.
Here's a book that will give you a partial listing:
Foxe's Book of the Martyr's/..by John Foxe (1517-1587)

Technically that's not what any of them consider martyrdom. A martyr is someone who dies "fighting the good fight". In the case of suicide bombers, they are believed by some Muslims to be martyrs for that reason.

Well, if you want to know its because islam teaches so.
And that's a fact. http://www.prophetofdoom.net
The reason why they are now coming forward to kill infidels is because they used to only attack each other. But ever since the american poked their fingers into the middle east, it has become a huge excuse for them to attack the americans instead to vent their lust for violence.
Muslims are prohibited to learn secular knowledge, encouraged to remain passive in islam. So what happens is they never progress economically but remains perpetually stuck in the evil religion which tells them to show no mercy to the non-believers.
So what do you think will be the outcome for the world if islam continues to grow???

Satan whispers in their ears....in the form of some god, and insists that it is.
As my pastor said in church today, there are some gods who demand the life of our sons for him.
Our God gave His son, for us.
