Are American women so arrogant as to think that every man will find tatoos attractive? Surely a woman must understand that it is more likely that a tatoo will reduce the number of men interested in her.

Personally, speaking for myself, when I put a girl on my bed on her hands and knees I don't want to see some grafetti that some freak put there before I came along.

I agree, I just want to see that smooth body, not a big ol' buttlerfly staring at me.

A lot of British women have these tattoos also. They were fashionable for a while- I think this sums up the problem.

Fashion = Temporary
Tattoos = Permanent

Too many people got them for the usual tattoo kudos to work in this case. About a quarter of these people will have a tongue piercing to match.

I think the added problem is that these tattoos encourage the girl who has it to wear midriff showing clothes all the time- when maybe something different would be better.

Not all American women have tatoos - on their backs or anywhere else. It's just that the women with enough taste and class to avoid tatoos are also smart enough to avoid someone as crass as you.

well I guess it's mainly because of the media. they see the idea on TV or the internet and they like so with thier lack of morals head to the closest tatoo shop to do it. but it's not every america woman that does it

Personally I would blame the media

I am an American woman, and I have no tattoos of any kind, nor do my daughters, or my sisters, or any of my friends. I do not think tattoos are attractive on women or on men. I know many men who do not think tattoos are attractive on women. Where are you getting your information? Some women get tattoos, but I'm sure they realize that not all men find them attractive.

What compelled every American woman to get a tattoo on her lower back?
Stupidity. But a side benefit is it keeps you away from them.

So who says a husband and wife can't have tattoo's ... We're very happy with ours, and who's to speak of EVERYONE??? I have one small tattoo and my husband has a small tattoo..I'm just interested in my own tattoo...Don't really care about the others opinion!! If you don't like them, that's your privilege.. Also if you do like them , that's your privilege...So just be more tolerant, if you can...

well i have a tattoo but not my lower back but in a place where it is barely visible.i got it in college and of course it was a gal who did it for me.i find it rather gross to have one rite above you *** and high dirty because they wear their pants not to cover their you know what but to show off that tattoo.i have never shown my tattoo to anyone till date.my tattoo is few inches my neck and it is always covered cause i wear a suit to work and never take it off.the point is i was stupid and a teenager and so i got it done.but to have it on your *** is simply repulsive.men i like them with Little tattoos but not on their *** k.yuck.

I'm American and I do not have a tat anywhere.

Where in the hell did you get the idea that "every American woman" does anything? We're all different. We're not all as arrogant as you believe.
